I'm back with another silly game launcher. this time, I think my scope is better, and I'm only doing roguelikes. if you have ones you want to be added, just post them, along with any of the tags that apply, thanks for checking this out <3

just to be helpful, here's the games in it so far

Hi there, I have been working on getting some old GLUBO games working (if you don't know what glubo is look it up)

these games are all by GLUBO games, I don't take credit for them

for arcade games, I have a way to trick the game into thinking you put a coin in, it is just a button in the pause menu

I am open to feedback, but be aware this game is still quite in development

I have seen a number of pico-8 home-made consoles and had an idea: what if there was a pico-8 operating system, designed for making that sort of thing.

--If I am confusing or missing big parts of the idea, please let me know!

here is what I came up with:

1 .p8cart file:
this is a (renamed) folder formatted like this:

------.p8cart folder------

game.p8
data folder
subcart folder

--data folder--
this is where the game data saves to
--subcart folder--
all extra cards loaded by the main game go here

old idea:
[hidden]

Main OS:
-gets up, down, left, right, Z, X from up to 2 input sources (2 controllers for example)

-creates it's own save location (so it is entirely self contained)

-loads custom filetype (more on this later)

-free?

-NO EDITOR OF ANY KIND

Interface:

-has folder for local carts

-searches for special filetype on any external devices (ex:usb)

-only one tab: games
this tab would list all local carts, as well as any carts found on a external device.

Special filetype:
-the os would load cart files which would be something like .p8cart
these would be like .p8.png BUT would not allow access to source code/sprites

-can be made with save cartname.p8cart

all main levels from nuclear throne
crappy placeholder graphics
broken new enemies
a final boss that does nothing
ultra mutations
new characters

many many bugs

Hi everyone! Here is something awesome I am working on. this is my 1st pico-8 game made w/out a tutorial!! This is a demake of a cool game called Luck be a landlord
(check it out here:https://trampolinetales.itch.io/luck-be-a-landlord)

I chose this game because I was having a lot of trouble with collisions but wanted to make a roguelike.
Before and while making this game, I watched many youtubers like my-- correction, studied the game in great depth so I could make a good demake. So here is the early version and I am open to feedback.

I created plasma ball and I plan on adding more.

things I plan on adding:

• custom sprites
• custom gamemodes

post level ideas in the comments

level format:

/ = skip a line
b = normal brick
x = empty space
i = indestructable brick
h = hardened brick
s = sploding brick
p = powerup brick

letter then number to place 1 more than the number
ex b7=bbbbbbbb  (8 b's)

rows are 11 bricks long and will start a new line automatically

ex:  ///b9bb9bbbpbbpbbpbbb9bb4pb4 is level 1

	[8x8]

these are the powerups (slow, extra life, sticky, expand paddle, reduce paddle (extra points!), mega ball, multiball, plasma ball (breaks indestructible bricks) and laser)
