Mari Lwyd's Pantri Panic!
This is my entry into the Advent Calendar Game Jam 2025 - Mari Lwyd's Pantri Panic.
Leaning on last year's entry of Mari Lwyd's Festive Rap Battle, Mari Lwyd a tradition where a Welsh horse skull goes around singing to their neighbours until they give them food or drink.
In this game you have returned from a night terrorising the neighbours for food, but your Pantry is too small to keep it all in! You will need to feed your Mini-Maris with lines of Christmas treats!
How To Play
You start the game in the hopper, where you have up to 3 Christmas food items to select from...

About
Strawberry Explosions is a simple STG. You can also say that it is the sequel to Berry Explosions, my other SHMUP.
You control a fast ship that needs to kill five waves of alies, but it won't be (too) easy... I hope.
Controls
Arrow keys - Move
X - Shoot
Behind the Scenes
I made this game in less than a week and following Lazy Devs's Basic Shmup Tutorial (thanks Krystman :D)

I just got Picotron and I'm really liking it so far. However, the background colors of certain parts of the UI are a little bright for me (I'm very light-sensitive, so bright interfaces can often give me eye pain, headaches, or nausea, and be difficult to see clearly. "Dark mode" is an important accessibility thing for me. Thankfully, the specific colors Picotron uses aren't as triggering as some other software can be, but it's still a problem.)
I figured out pretty quickly that I can directly modify the colors in some of these programs by editing the roms in /system/app (at least, that's the case for notebook.p64; I havent quite worked out where or how to edit these colors for the file manager; if you know how I could do that, I would love to hear about it; I havent fully wrapped myself around how picotron 'works' yet, but being unable to find the same 'bgcolor' declaration in the file browser or settings editor makes me wonder if there is something in how windows are created that selects a 'default' background and foreground color, however, just making a window myself, that doesn't seem to be so, it seems to default to black)

A "fun and exciting" roguelike video game, where you play as Magus, the wizard.

The music tracks (Greensleeves / Ballet in D / Belle Qui Tiens Ma Vie / Les Plaisirs de Saint Germain en Laÿe) are adapted from midi files made by Lory Werths. Most of the sprites are from chare and toi made by
Story
Spectre Duck is sick of these goddamn red bricks! Destroy them with enough pickups.
If you hug them without touching, you can highlight them for an orange upon destruction for bonus points.
Conclusion
Just a fun arcade game. It's already on my Itch, but I felt like you'd all appreciate this.
Peace!

This is my contribution to the PICO-8 2025 Advent Calendar Jam.
It's a short bullet hell (danmaku) shoot 'em up game in which you control Santa, who runs into trouble while delivering gifts in a Japanese town. Someone has unleashed hundreds of yurei (ghosts), and a terrible snowstorm is brewing. Can you fight off the evil forces and deliver all the gifts?
Delivering gifts will turn all bullets on screen into bonus stars.
Collect Yurei in gashapon capsules to add them to your collection.

This is an interactive Christmas card I made. Press X and you can play a little endless runner game similar to the Dino game you can play in the Chrome browser. There's just one button you use to play the game. X makes your elf jump and the goal is to see how many trees you can jump over in a row. Enjoy!

Hi!
Greetings! This is my first Pico-8 game and my first finished videogame ever.
I've always loved the Tower Defense genre so, when faced with making a small game I was dead set on doing one.
I haven't found many (none at all) on the BBS (which is pretty immense to be honest), so this is my take on what could have been a portable fantasy tower defense on the GBA.
It is also the first time I've made everything myself (art, music and code) so it won't be revolutionary, but I hope you have a good time with it!
The game is not perfect, the token count is off the scale and it kind of needs some polish here and there, but it is playable, enjoyable and beatable, but I wanted to ship it now and perfect it later.

Hi!
This is my mod "Matrix"! The main character, instead of Madeline, is someone called Laelae. She's a VTuber who, in this universe, is stuck in the matrix. That's the plot!
Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys this mod! I did all the coding, art, VFX, etc. I got Merl_ to playtest it too, btw. As usual, I encourage everyone to try and beat this mod in under 2 minutes! It's a challenging feat, but definitely possible :D
Also, feel free to post your times in the Celeste Classic Discord server here
Uh, that's about it, I think.
Merry Christmas!

Controls
❎ (Z) - Short flat to glide
🅾️ (X) - Long flap to fly
Quick tip: Combining short and long flaps at the right moments is key to surviving the pipes!
How to Play
Master both flap types to navigate pipes precisely. Glide gives you a short, controlled hop, perfect for fine adjustments. Fly launches you higher, great for clearing big gaps or recovering from a dive. After falling long enough, your canary tilts nose-down and drops faster, so don't wait too long to flap!
Gameplay
Balloons 🎈
- Red: +10 points
- Blue: +25 points
- Pink: +50 points
Speed Levels
The game gets faster as your score climbs. Pipes and balloons scroll quicker at each threshold:
- x2 speed at 50 points
- x3 speed at 250 points
- x4 speed at 500 points
- x5 speed at 1000 points
A speed notification flashes on screen each time the pace increases. Plan ahead, gaps that felt easy at x1 become deadly at x5!
Settings
Access the PICO-8 pause menu (P) to toggle:
- Music: on/off
- Screen shake: on/off
- Reset high score
Tips
- Use Glide ❎ for small adjustments near tight gaps
- Use Fly 🅾️ to recover from deep falls quickly
- Watch your canary's tilt! nose-down means you're falling fast.
- Don't panic when speed increases!
