Take aim, fire and score!
Your trusty hunting dog wades into the marshes to flush out your prey.
You've only got three shots to bag this duck, and if you miss, even your dog laughs at you!
Test your reflexes in this PICO-8 demake of the NES classic!

A faithful tribute that captures every little detail of the Nintendo classic. Pico-8 demake by John Buise, with music and sound effects recreated by Eric Billingsley.

This is just a fun experiment for an RPG style menu system. I'm sure the code could be improved but it's my first time doing something like this so I'm just experimenting.

How to Play
- Arrow keys to move
- ❎ to dash
Dodge the red circles, if you touch one you lose health. Dashing uses up energy, which will recharge over time.
PLZ COMMENT AND GIVE FEEDBACK
Let me know if there is anything I should implement into the game. I do plan add different kinds of enemies later, and maybe another ability with the Z button. There will also be power ups and score display system when you die. I have a lot of ideas for this game, I'm mainly posting it now so I can play during class.

I've been working on a remake of Adventure for the Atari 2600 off and on for a few months now. I think it's pretty close to done and looking for feedback. There's no known issues at this time, but there's a few changes I'm considering:
- I'm not 100% happy with the mazes and considering redoing them.
- It's possible to sneak into the white castle with the bridge. Not sure if I want to change that.
- If you know the original, you probably know about the easter egg. I haven't added one yet, but considering it.
All feedback welcome. Thanks for reading.

Fissure Blade - A Hyper-light boss rush
A short, melee-combat boss rush heavily inspired by Hyper Light Drifter. The game has 3 bosses total and takes around ~10-15 minutes to complete.
I released the game on itch as well where you can find the well-formatted source code.
Controls (explained in-game)
Tap X - Slash
Hold X - Shoot (uses ammo, replenished by slashing)
Tap Z - Dash
Hold Z for 3 seconds - Heal (uses a health crystal, replenished at checkpoints)
Depending on your keyboard, you might run into weird hardware limitations when holding many keys together (i.e holding up+left+x might be dropped by some keyboards). I've found success trying alternate buttons using N and M instead of Z and X for some keyboards.

This is the Cave Diver game from Dylan Bennet's Pico-8 development guide book but with some slight modifications:
- I altered the gravity for jumping.
- I made it so that the cave color changes each time the player score hits a variable of 1000.
- I also added flying enemies which need to be avoided.
Tombtrix
Tombtrix is a tetris-like game where the pieces are made out of sand. Connect the left wall to the right one with one color of sand to clear a line! Careful, one bad placement and it may be Game Over.
Preview
controls:
moving a piece = left, right, down
dropping a piece = X
rotating a piece = O
rules:
connect the left and right wall with one color of sand to clear lines. Try getting a high score without going over the white line!
Careful, diagonally touching pixels dont actually count as touching.
About
Hello everybody! i'm completely new to pico 8, and decided to give it a shot. When creating this game, my idea was to make an infinitely replayable game which can easily be quit and reopened without losing any real progress.
