Take Control Time Tracker
What's this
A timer tool for visually tracking where your time goes during a set focus session. Track when you are actually focusing on the thing you want to work on, or are spending more time doing other things despite what you intended. Watch your progress as the time goes up and blocks grow as they reach their target value e.g. 1m, 5m, 10m, etc., and as you get more blocks with your chunks of time. If you cancel a block timer while it is growing, you lose that block.
Try your best to take control! Aim for a work percentage of at least 80%!
Toggle Auto On so that the blocks can grow continuously without you needing to start them again, best for short times e.g. 1m or 5m, or when you're really focused.

Hello,
I would like to ask for help on how to release a cart properly.
I've made three.
- The first: Included in a post, became a Cartridge in about an hour, I deleted it, and reuploaded as a WIP (checks out)
- The second: I included it in a new post as a Cartridge, but it's not shown anywhere.
- A Third: Uploaded via the Submit button, not shown as well.
I've followed the How to upload Pico-8 games tutorial on the resources page. Yet my own releases page remains empty.
I have three questions:
- How do I release a WIP as a finished Cartridge?
- How do I release a new Cartridge, such that it finds its way into the Carts section?
- Can users get listed for making their first game too gorpy?
I would love to know more!
Regards,
skipperd

Hi all,
The other day I saw Engine Sound Test by @The_Gamer_1475 and I wanted to rev it with [x].
So I made a gizmo to rev four changeable chords and learn about generating sound in Pico-8.
print("\a")
Is a magnificent feature!
You can use [z] and [x] to change a value selected with [arrows].
The values in white are notes.
0 --> silent
1 - 72 --> c0 - b5.
I've tried to generate a revvable engine sound and the base four four tone chords for the four cylinders are vertically stacked and editable with [z] and [x].
Give her a spin with the red button.

Tomb Boom
A Hardcore Platformer
My first ever actually released game. Tomb Boom is a (hopefully) challenging platformer about navigating a graveyard by using exploding bombs to get to new heights.
This game was built as part of a self-imposed game jam in which I tried to make the best finished product I could in a week (plus a day or two of watching youtube videos to learn lua - I have only made games in c#/xna in the past).
This is also the first time I've had to make my own sprites, tileset, and sfx from scratch, which was a fun challenge.
Hope you have fun, feel free to send me your times (with or without collecting all the skulls!)
CONTROLS:
ARROWS - Move

Heres my first flappy bird, in memory of my pet duck, Sif. Have fun!
Versions
1.1
- Increased tree speed
- Added music (Credit to @Gruber!)
- Better SFX

Perfect 100
A grid hopping game. Fill the grid counting from 0 to 99.
The goal of the game is to fill in the cells of the grid with numbers going from 0 to 99 to form a Perfect matrix of 100. The rules are simple: move vertical, horizontal or diagonal skipping 2 cells (horizontal or vertical) or 1 cell (diagonal).
The green cursor lets you select your next move. Press the 1st button to cycle between choices, press the 2nd button to confirm the move.
Restart the game if you get stuck and can't move.

Can you reach 99? :P
I made this for the #TweetTweetJam 10 on May 2025. It is written in Pico-8 and the code is 500 characters long. Credit to https://thisismypassport.github.io/shrinko8/ for an excellent tool to shrink the code.
