Bubble golf is a little project of mine that I have been working on for some time now. It is my first ever fully finished pico 8 game and game in general and I am quite proud of how it came out and I hope you will enjoy!
controls
- Arrow keys to aim.
- X to hit the ball in a direction.
- When you have a monster captured Z to move it up.
- Monsters can be captured by hitting them.

Sally's Star Racers PX
Sally Neptune is back for some mode-7 style racing!
Features
- 8 unique tracks, with different themes, music, and graphics
- 2 circuits for grand prix racing
- a versus mode with a unique scoring system, giving you credit for leading the race as well as winning
- time trials, with times to beat by the developer
- 4 characters to choose from, with different speed and handling.
- try to collect all 47 stars by beating all of the achievements!
- data is saved locally, so you don't need to beat the whole game in one sitting.
How to play
Gameplay only uses three buttons - left and right to steer, and either action button (Z or X on a keyboard) to go. Releasing the gas will automatically make you brake. If you turn while releasing the gas, you can take turns tightly. Taking a long, drifting turn then hitting the gas will give you a boost!

A 3d isometric system I've been working on, hopefully for a sandbox game!
Many thanks to @garett for helping me through my suffering & figuring out isometric rendering.
Many thanks to @Thelxinoe5, @Ronflaix and @xietanu for help with batch sprites
Many, many thanks to the rest of the Picotron Community.
Heavily inspired by TheScienceElf's video (github repo).
There is an issue with depth perception, that I can't figure out a way to fix.
Shadows help, but they don't fix everything :(
If anyone has ideas; please tell!
This image was generated by setting sprite scale to 2x2 (commented out in the top of the code) and generating a 180x180x8 world.

PICO Cellular Automata
A configurable cellular automata made using PICO-8!
Itch.io Page -> https://stadam.itch.io/pico-life
CONTROLS:
X - Pause or play simulation
Z - Toggle simulation menu
HOW IT WORKS:
- Each new simulation will spawn a population of cells with random ACTIONS and SENSES
- ACTIONS dictate the movement behaviors of a cell
- SENSES dictate how far a cell can see
- Each generation of cells will die, survive or give birth depending on their neighbor count
- New cells will inherit their parent's behaviors, with occasional mutations
- Look out for emergent behaviors!
- TIP: If the game is running slowly, try increasing the number of GEN STEPS
Initially I just wanted to play other people's games, but I got fascinated by the PICO-8 editor and felt like making something of my own.
I used this project to learn the basics of the console and Lua. At first I wanted to make a minimal working Flappy Bird clone in one evening, but I ended up taking it a bit more seriously: refactoring the code and redrawing all the sprites in my favorite 1-bit style.
It had been a long time since I enjoyed programming this much. Working in PICO-8 feels lightweight and playful, and it was a real pleasure to fully immerse myself in making this little game.

I'm excited to share my first entry to a mini-challenge on SpaceCat's Skool website. The theme was "One button", and i did a demake of Canabalt. It's more of a prototype, and I join a mockup of what it could look like after some polish.
Crumbling buildings, corridors to squeeze through, boxes to kick, don't look down! See how far you can run before falling to your death! Enjoy!
