x: thrust; increase translational velocity in the rocket's current angle
left: increase angular velocity; rotate counter-clockwise faster or clockwise slower
right: decrease angular velocity; rotate clockwise faster or counter-clockwise slower
z: display alternate stats (for select missions)
pause: menu option to restart mission
Flight Telemetry Gauges
x: distance to the right of the center of Earth, negative is to the left
y: distance above the center of Earth, negative is down
θ: your rocket's current angle; radians/pi

Using just the general law of gravity and Newton's second law, I created an orbital simulator.
I calculate the desired speed to put the masses in orbit around a heavy central sun, but otherwise just let the physics do the work.
Honestly, I was surprised this works due to the low-precision numbers with Pico-8, but it does!

A variety of fun toys will randomly appear. Jump and touch them to collect. Collect 14 toys with your partner to win.

Game Overview
Blocks are falling and you, Block Pinkly, must group them by making alike blocks touch.
Group 3+ blocks to create buddies.

As the wizard queen you must defend your castle using increasingly powerful spells and fortifications.
You lose if you die or if your castle crumbles.
Casting spells may be a bit tricky, but when you get the hang of it and advance in the game the right spell is always available.
Can you make it through all 25 waves and defeat the final boss!? Can you beat your high score!?

This game uses some strobing light effects. If this would prevent you from playing and you are interested, I’d appreciate that feedback.
Tips
- Read the spell directions carefully, the controls are a bit non-traditional
- You can't move and cast at the same time
- Slower monsters are more powerful against your castle
- Late game: portals don't work when monsters are near the exit portal
