Your favorite hero is back for new adventures! Survive as many levels as you can.
After defeating your opponent, choose a bonus, but beware: your enemy grows stronger with every room! How far can you make it ?
This is my second Pico-8 game! This time, I wanted to showcase my favorite character, Ghost Thief, who’s been with me for years. Here’s a little tip: you have a double jump but your opponent doesn’t! Use it to keep your distance. Feel free to share which level you reach : after level 20, the game gets tough if you haven’t boosted your damage early on.
One last thing: if you want to reset your high score list, press Up and Down at the same time on the title screen. A little tune will let you know you’re starting with a clean slate.

Explore a piece of land and try to get close to its birds! A game inspired by my actual bird-fascinated cat, Pico!
This is an open-world puzzle-vania I made for @adamatomic's _update() jam! (check out Jackpot of Skulls and Frogwell too!) Adam provided us a cart with a pre-made _draw() function and a spritesheet tab, and that's basically all we could use to display things on screen, leaving us to steer the drawing logic from the _update() function! It was super fun to make something with it! Thanks Adam!!
In Bird Watcher, you gotta find ways to approach birds to get a good look at them. That might mean getting some obstacles out of the way, riding boats through water, and maybe getting the birds to show themselves or even hatch first!

Welcome to _Update() Jam! Three new games in three different genres by three different authors, all created from the exact same tiny sprite sheet.
In A Jackpot of Skulls by Brainfruit, your eternal fate rests in the capable hands of a cosmic slot machine. But if you spin the wheels right, it might let you make a few modifications... more info here -> https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?pid=jackpot
In Bird Watcher by Rémy Devaux, a curious cat gets the jump on exactly 84 birds. A puzzle-vania adventure that rewards experimentation and observation. More info here -> https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=154589
In Frogwell by Adam Atomic, a frog falls down a very deep hole.
_Update() Jam is a little launchpad cart that you can use to come up with new game ideas... the cart displays the "rules" for the jam, and also contains all the source code and sprites for you to start making your own jam entry.
If you're an advanced designer or pico-head it can be fun to follow some of the strict rendering rules, but sometimes its enough to have a bunch of funny little sprites to look at to guide your thought process.
Along with some friends we all created original games over the holiday break based on this jam, we'll be uploading those separately, as well as the launcher (also made with this cart's restrictions!) so that everything works in Splore mode.

A mod by Kai Salmon, for PicoBall by @Munchkin
This mod for Pico Ball introduces Penny, from Penny the Pumpkin as an opponent to beat. The crossover makes sense since, in my view, Pico-Ball is one of the best ever games made of the PICO-8, and according to one random comment once Penny is up there too!
Hard Mode
(This version has tweak where some of the behaviours intentionally introduced to make penny easier are disabled

Yer standard match-3 game. This was 1) curiousity about how this might be implemented and 2) playing around with aesthetic enhancement stuff, like scrolly background, particles, text effects, screen shake, etc.

How To Play
- Arrow keys to move the selector.
- Hold Z and press a direction to perform a swap with the piece in that direction. (I played around with selecting piece A and then selecting piece B, but when I started moving quickly, every move required a double-tap of the Z key, and it just felt like too much but mashing. The hold-and-swipe thing felt a lot smoother and faster.)
- Match 3 (or more) pieces horizontally or vertically (or both), to destroy them.
Hello, Lexaloffle BBS! Long time listener, first time caller, with my first Pico-8 game, "Tetr-ish". It is as it sounds, the classic falling blocks game minus all the features. I just wanted to see if I could make this, and it turns out, yes, so here we are!

How To Play
Drop blocks, leave no spaces, filled lines will be destroyed. Destroy more lines at once to earn more points. The more lines you destroy, the faster the pieces fall.
The top right corner will show you the next piece to fall, while the top left shows your current level, number of lines destroyed and score.
MEGADARTS! A not-so-megasized game about playing dart games for cash! You can:
- 🎯: show off your superior dart slinging prowess
- 💰: collect a giant wad of cash
- ⚒️: Go to the shop and get mods to change your run
CONTROLS:
- Arrows: move cross
- X: shoot a dart
Began as a side project in December 2025. Inspired chiefly by simple real-world games that have been videogame-ified, most notably Balatro. Then I found out about newgrounds pixel day and worked myself ragged to finish on time by January 23rd.
Enjoy!

A de-make of the Atari 5200 game, which is itself a clone of Berzerk. Very fond memories of this as a child, so seemed an obvious choice!
