This is an interactive Christmas card I made. Press X and you can play a little endless runner game similar to the Dino game you can play in the Chrome browser. There's just one button you use to play the game. X makes your elf jump and the goal is to see how many trees you can jump over in a row. Enjoy!

Hi!
Greetings! This is my first Pico-8 game and my first finished videogame ever.
I've always loved the Tower Defense genre so, when faced with making a small game I was dead set on doing one.
I haven't found many (none at all) on the BBS (which is pretty immense to be honest), so this is my take on what could have been a portable fantasy tower defense on the GBA.
It is also the first time I've made everything myself (art, music and code) so it won't be revolutionary, but I hope you have a good time with it!
The game is not perfect, the token count is off the scale and it kind of needs some polish here and there, but it is playable, enjoyable and beatable, but I wanted to ship it now and perfect it later.

Hi!
This is my mod "Matrix"! The main character, instead of Madeline, is someone called Laelae. She's a VTuber who, in this universe, is stuck in the matrix. That's the plot!
Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys this mod! I did all the coding, art, VFX, etc. I got Merl_ to playtest it too, btw. As usual, I encourage everyone to try and beat this mod in under 2 minutes! It's a challenging feat, but definitely possible :D

Controls
❎ (Z) - Short flat to glide
🅾️ (X) - Long flap to fly
Quick tip: Combining short and long flaps at the right moments is key to surviving the pipes!
How to Play
Master both flap types to navigate pipes precisely. Glide gives you a short, controlled hop, perfect for fine adjustments. Fly launches you higher, great for clearing big gaps or recovering from a dive. After falling long enough, your canary tilts nose-down and drops faster, so don't wait too long to flap!
Gameplay
Balloons 🎈
- Red: +10 points
- Blue: +25 points
- Pink: +50 points
Speed Levels
The game gets faster as your score climbs. Pipes and balloons scroll quicker at each threshold:
- x2 speed at 50 points
- x3 speed at 250 points
- x4 speed at 500 points
- x5 speed at 1000 points
A speed notification flashes on screen each time the pace increases. Plan ahead, gaps that felt easy at x1 become deadly at x5!
Settings
Access the PICO-8 pause menu (P) to toggle:
- Music: on/off
- Screen shake: on/off
- Reset high score
Tips
- Use Glide ❎ for small adjustments near tight gaps
- Use Fly 🅾️ to recover from deep falls quickly
- Watch your canary's tilt! nose-down means you're falling fast.
- Don't panic when speed increases!

What is this?
Did you know that wallpapers in picotron can be full fledged carts? This is one such dynamic wallpaper that simulates the windows leaving marks on the desktop if they are left open for too long. See the animation below for an example:
I made this to learn more about how picotron carts can talk to the window manager, and to get a general feel of the system. It was inspired by the "birds" demo.
How do I use it?
Copy this cart into the /appdata/system/wallpapers. It then should show up as an option inside "system settings". Click on that option, and the wallpaper will start working.

Hello again!
Here, we have a very simple cart of falling snow and some simple views that change at random. Grab a fresh cup of hot chocolate and relax with this cart. Who knows, Santa might visit you!
Change the background and sky, and if you feel the falling snow is too much, turn the photosensitivity option on for a more comfortable experience— All from the pause menu! You can also reset your cartridge to get a random arrangement of sky and background, and maybe even a new song!
This is the first cart I’ve worked on in a long time, so I hope I provided a cozy atmosphere for you.

A piloting mishap sends Santa and all his gifts tumbling across the Brooklyn skyline. Without his sleigh, Santa must leap from rooftop to rooftop, collecting and delivering presents. If he is to deliver them all in time, he must go faster and faster. Press x or o to jump, and press x or o while in the air to throw a present down a chimney.
