This game is SO good!! :D
- It is SO addictive and polished that it could easily have been a commercial 8-bit game (still can!)
- The difficulty ramping is perfect - I crapped my pants when the "mirror" levels happened
(I was like "REALLY?!")
- The magician tricks are so well animated & timed - they're perfect.
- The music is great.
- I love the font on the title/end screen as well.
- The way you allow players to continue is just right
(there is NO way I would've completed it without that lifeline!)
- None that I can see.

Just getting around to playing this other recent releases...spectacular! Love the concept and the feeling coming across is wonderful. Everything is solid from concept to execution.
It's obvious you put a ton of thought into this considering all the details. Certainly worthy of a sequel, don't you think? "Just one MORE boss"...
Fantastic! As everyone's said, the animations are amazing. The way each new section adds constraints that force you to learn how to deal with something you think you've already figured out... it's really impressive! And the way you re-used and combined mechanics to keep new challenges coming was great.
Also for some reason my brain wants me to be controlling the left bloop at all times... even after restarting the last hard section over and over again! Finally got it, though. 21:17 on my first hard play through.
Is there anything different that happens if you collect all the smack squares (that's what I'm calling them) after the boss is finally defeated. I've come so close, I got the last one after the animation started, but I haven't clearly gotten them all before the end yet and I'm wondering if I'm beating myself up for nothing.
But then, why have them?
@joealarson Collecting all the post-fight tiles does not do anything special. I added them just to make you feel like you're getting in that final blow... but it was a mistake. A lot of players have the same feeling that it should do something special. I messed up!

OUTSTANDING ! Reminds me a lot of the "magic tent" in Chrono Trigger.
But they should've come to you. Your pixel graphics for the magician are far better !

This is a kind of game there's not enough of its simple but entertaining, giving four simple easy attacks, but constantly ramping it up till it gets crazy. My only nitpick is that it takes to long to get back into the game after dying, but thats me being impatient i guess

I am trying to get the score 60,000 on hard mode!
My highest score is 57000
my best time is 3:33. I didn't get the same score and time. Is it possible to get 60,000? Also, can you make an extreme mode? I want an even harder challenge!
Beautiful animations, and really fun game-play. I would love to see this turn into a full game, due to the base mechanics having endless possibilities, and the characters being cute and simple, not to mention that the difficulty is just right!
Sadly, I don't know the first thing about game development.
Just promise me if somebody asks to make this a full game, you'll say yes.
If there's any criticism I have for this game, it's that in both normal and hard mode, the third phase of the boss seems like a big difficulty spike when compared to the rest of the difficulty changes in the boss fight. Also, in the last phase on hard mode, if you're forced into the center with your clone, it doesn't seem to be possible to dodge the cards coming from the sides, since there's always one about to be on your space or the space you're trying to move to. Those are my only real complaints. Everything else about this cart (music & sound, sprite art, character expressions for both the player and boss) is absolutely fantastic.
