Hey everyone!
So I've been getting better acquainted with After Effects, via videocopilot.net, and here's a little splash screen I came up with for gaming.stackexchange.com.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Hello everyone, let me introduce myself first, as this is my first post in the forums. I'm proton, and I bought this game a few weeks ago. It's one of my favorites, and I love all aspects of its design; it has lots of potential and I will certainly be anticipating any new updates. :D
Also, I was just wondering, I wanted to contribute some information to help shape the official Voxatron Wiki (the one found here), but I see no way to start a new page. I was just wondering if it's open to registered users or it's off limits for now. Either way, thanks a bunch!

Hey All
I added a few more features to the BBS:
If you click on a user's name to view their profile (here's mine), you can now also use the links at the top to view a summary of their posts, levels and files. There's also a yet-to-be-implemented favourites mode that will allow you to view/play another user's voxatron level favourites.
The posts mode is useful for checking up on your own posts. If you want to see which threads have replies in them, view the posts list on your own profile and look for the speech bubble icons on the right, indicating that there are replies to the thread.
I've also added some links to the Voxatron page:
User-made wiki for all things Voxatron. Thanks to everyone who started this off, I think it will become a great resource. It will also become the definitive source on how to use the editor, once I get around to updating it with undocumented details!

Hey guys! Me again!
Are any of you fans of Chiptune music? I know I sure am. So much so in fact, that I've slowly been compiling a playlist on Youtube of some of the best Chiptune [mostly] I've come across. It's currently up to 88 videos with a total running time of 4:40:49.
Interested? Check it out here: Chiptune'd!
Unfortunately, I haven't really updated it in quite a while, so if you know any music that you think would be a great addition to the playlist, drop a comment and I'll look into it!

Hey everyone!
You may or may not have seen me around the forums yet. If you haven't, then Hello! =]
Figured it's time I started posting versions of my first (and extremely slow-progressing) Voxatron adventure. I hope to get some feedback from the rest of you, many of whom are much more avid players than I. I'm currently caught in finals, so I haven't had a lot of time to actually PLAY Voxatron, I just post a lot on the forums. :P
Anyway, on to the level!

This is the emotional beginning of a grand, and terrifying adventure beneath the ground, through crypts, tombs, and catacombs that will test you at every turn.
I'll be updating this post with new versions in the future, so check back for updates. Any and all feedback is appreciated (but please don't tell me to make custom trees).

Idea by Alchemist!
I saw his level and thought "Hm... I don't like how it's done.".. instead of complaining, I built it myself - everything is handmade (except of the Butamons (='Minotaurs') ;)
There is a little Problem with the boss, but it's a problem with the mob-script itself, nothing I could change. See for yourself :)

I am on Ubuntu Studio 11.04 (AMD64) and I have been unable to run Voxatron without a crash immediately on getting to the main menu selection screen, looks like some sort of ALSA bug, dunno what exactly:

Is there something I can do to turn off/disable sound, or some workaround to use something other than ALSA? I'm normally using Jack, with ALSA compatability set up .. normally works fine, but not in this case.[box=ffd030]

v0.1.6 is a quick patch to resolve some show-stopping problems with v0.1.5:
- It's possible to load .vob.png files into separate slots again
- Linux Users: the game now uses your system's version of SDL by default. This should resolve the missing sound & bad performance issues in 0.1.5. If you still have trouble with performance, trying setting "opengl_blit 1" in ~/.lexaloffle/Voxaton/config.txt
The main new features in v0.1.5 are the ability to add new character graphics to a level, and filter/favourite levels in the BBS LEVELS menu.
See the post for v0.1.5 for more details
There are already a couple of levels that show new character graphics. You need to update to the newest version to be able to see them (check your Humble games page).

In case you missed it, the Humble Voxatron Debut now has a total of 7 games. 3 of Lexaloffle's earlier titles have been added to the lineup, and 3 guest games: Blocks that Matter, Gish, and The Binding of Isaac. You can download them from your Humble games page, and as usual all updates are free, cross-platform, and DRM-free.
Jasper's Journeys is an adventure platformer I made with my brother Jumps (who did gfx & map design), and Dr. Petter (sound). We originally released it for DOS in 1997, and later reworked the whole game and released a Windows & Mac version in 2008. And it's still in active development! (More on that soon). Jasper is an old-school platformer that doesn't shy away from being challenging, and generally [i]videogames
