WIP
There are obvoius logic flaws, but by uploading a cart I can get some testplayers, with just sharing an url.
I underestimated the layer problem if I want to add a useable reveal methode, or indicator, what element is about to be aktivated.
This cart is made for my son (3y) who loves trains and puplic transportation, let´s hope I can finish before he turns 12.
Thanks

Insides
I love this unpack list combination for spritesheet coords and this rnd use with lists, but do not know if this a common way for little bigger games.
It's cake time!
My tiny game made during Falling Block Jam 2026 #FallingBlockJam, https://itch.io/jam/falling-block-jam-2026
How to play:
Hop gray bunny left and right by pressing left and right arrow.
Stand under falling pink cakes to stack them on gray bunny's head.
Spit (or fling, throw, pew) pink cakes by pressing Z/O.
Dodge incoming blue cakes spat from blue bunny by pressing X.
The amazing @Liquidream has been running the Pico-1K Jam since September 2021! After 6 editions this event has now turned 5, which is well deserving of a celebration. Therefore I have put my culinary skills to work and baked a sizeable cake (1016 bytes when compressed with Shrinko8) so that we can all have a slice. Enjoy!

Keep your patio clear of falling leaves. ⬆️⬇️⬅️➡️ to move the broom. ❎🅾️ to sweep left and right. Relax and live out your patio sweeping dream with the zen mode. During challenge mode, if the leaves build up too much the ants will swarm and you will no longer build your score. Clear the leaves to make the ants go away and start scoring again. Try to top your last high score.

I've been trying to up my pico-8 game and was inspired by this breakout tutorial to attempt a physics sim. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxV2i8pDWmk&t=1519s
I failed terribly, completely abandoned the everything-in-one-table-elegantly-reacting-with-each-other thing that tutorial had going on, and just said a prayer and brute forced it. But it still ended up being a workable game!
That's right! Anime characters for Death Angel.

ABOUT
A rendition of the Climate/Warming Stripes for Picotron, using exactly 1024 bytes of compressed code, for #Pico1k Jam 2026.
The climate stripes were created by Professor Ed Hawkins at the University of Reading in 2018. They show clearly and vividly how global average temperatures have risen over nearly two centuries.

this is a very simple implementation of the classic 3d spinning cube, written based on a simple logic I used for my pixelart simulation render python script. since it's the same python logic rewritten in pico-8, it's not the most optimal nor the fastest way to render a 3d cube, this is supposed to be easy to read and understand how these calculations work.
Slime Time
Slime Time is my attempt in making a game in week for "The Very Serious Juniper Dev Game Jam." I'm sure like everyone else who has participated in this Jam, I had a ton of ideas and tweaks that I cut for the sake of time. The beginning of this Jam was extremely challenging for me to hone in on a simple idea and execute it well. My idea is basically slime whack-a-mole with a surprise spin mechanic (since the theme for this Jam is "Spin to Win"). This was an interesting challenge that revealed to me what I think I do well concerning game development and where I'm most certainly weak. I have no idea how this will be received, but overall I had a fun time with this Game Jam especially when the game started to come together.

Alien Sneak
Alien Sneak is my submission for the PICO-1K Jam 2026 and this was a tough one. I'm still getting familiar with Pico-8, but thought this would be a good jam to hone in on the coding aspect of Pico-8. My idea was create a sneaking game with objects moving in a set path, and the player character has to get around them. The player character is an alien trying to dodge spotlights. I tried to create a tense atmosphere with rain particles and suspenseful music (hopefully the music is not too annoying). The set paths were taking up too much space, so I ended up randomizing the paths and increasing the speed of each spotlight as the player character advances in levels.

A little rally driving game for the PICO-1K jam.
Race the clock down a windy country road. Reach the checkpoints to extend your time.
How far can you get before the time runs out?

This is my little entry to this year's Falling Block Jam. It's been a while since I made something in Pico-8, it's so fun!
Hungry chompers are hungry!
Arrow keys: Move blocks
Z/X keys: Rotate blocks
When a chomper has a path of at least 3 food blocks, they will EAT and then DISAPPEAR. Paths must be contiguous with no gaps or backtracking.
Longer paths are worth more points.
If a chomper can EAT directly after the grid settles from a previous chomper EATING, it triggers a combo. combos also increase score.
... That's pretty much it, it's a simple idea, but I think it turned out pretty fun, with some surprising strategies based on the simple rules.

This program lets users run a background python script that connects to Picotron via TCP socket. It is specially made for setups where you boot or auto-login into Picotron, just add the .py file to your startup, and you're good to go. NOTE: Currently interactive terminal applications are not supported, because the script
Setup
For Picotron, just unsandbox the cart and run it, it will install the latest version to /appdata/system/util Then just run picoterm in the terminal to connect. NOTE: The TCP socket is ONLY exposed to the machine itself, so be sure to run the script on the same machine as Picotron, if you would like to change this open the python script and change HOST = '127.0.0.1' to HOST = '0.0.0.0' Here is the python code (NOTE: This only works on MacOS and Linux, if you would like to make a windows version please feel free) NOTE: This program need the pexpect module, make sure you have that installed

hihi
would anyone be interested in an r/place big drawing sorta thing on here?
ideas been thrown around quite a little and thinking i might just set one up if enough people are interested (and also would make it viewable externally too, e.g: picotron_paint.astralsparv.cc/vid1.png or an online webview that updates, or both?
Would want to make different boards for each vid() mode, then you can use it for the full 480x270, and the other planned video modes (would just black bar it on the sides until all the vid()s are actually added.).
Would make it possible as a wallpaper cart too hopefully, shouldn't be hard. Would be neat to be able to connect it to my at home server display to have it just update randomly as people draw
