hihi
would anyone be interested in an r/place big drawing sorta thing on here?
ideas been thrown around quite a little and thinking i might just set one up if enough people are interested (and also would make it viewable externally too, e.g: picotron_paint.astralsparv.cc/vid1.png or an online webview that updates, or both?
Would want to make different boards for each vid() mode, then you can use it for the full 480x270, and the other planned video modes (would just black bar it on the sides until all the vid()s are actually added.).
Would make it possible as a wallpaper cart too hopefully, shouldn't be hard. Would be neat to be able to connect it to my at home server display to have it just update randomly as people draw
mocked up an idea for setting up a thing that would let users run a (sandboxed) lua runtime on my server for services...
--server runtime, runs on the actual server
server=include("astral_server.lua")
server:connect("chat_app") --would already know your user id since it runs "localised" to you
server:set_message_handler(function(msg)
print(msg.sender) --userid of who sent the message
print(msg.data) --data of what the user sent
print(msg.reply_to) --the message is in response to message with id (msg.reply_to) that the server sent
if (msg.data.type=="message") then
server:append("messages",{
sender=msg.sender,
data=msg.data.text_content,
timestamp=time()--magic time thing, idk the actual function, would probs just be a stat(86) equivalent but run on server so can't be spoofed
})
server:send_message(msg.sender,{
ok=true,
},msg.reply_to) --reply to the users message
else
server:send_message(msg.sender,{
ok=false,
err="Unknown message type"
},msg.reply_to) --reply to the users message
end
end) |
messages being:
{
sender=sender_lxo_id, --(or custom service id?)
id=string, --id of this message
data=table, --a table of data sent by user/server
reply_to=string|nil, --id of the message this is replying to
} |

Planning on making a community server thing like this people can use to run servers on mine; this pt place thing could be something used to show off the system.
