Sneak peek:
Joller
Tiny comedy-stealth PICO-8 prototype
Disclaimer:[hidden]This is a small PICO-8 learning project made for game-development practice only. The theme is silly and fictional; it is not encouragement or instruction to do anything illegal in real life.

Blog
At some point my brain just stops working logically and starts dropping frames. I'm happy with this progress and also recon I started with much bigger dreams and ended with just a demo level.
The idea was to turn a hi-concept like a classic Aeschylus play into the 8-bit world.
This turned out to be a good project for me to keep working on, as much as I appreciate the tutorials, creating a simpler idea turned out to be a much bigger challenge, rather than re-skinning Porklike, I have to de-make many of the 2d techniques with buttons and directions into a 1d line. On top I went with the diagonal which I thought would be quirky, which opened a can of worms. Lots of ideas I can try after the jam.

Alley Cat - Pico Remake (DEMO)
The classic from 1983 is making a come back on Pico 8!
The demo includes:
-
Title screen re-creating the classic cat walk
-
A playable version of main alley
- All main alley enemies and animations
All feedback is welcome! as there are many difficulties I'll need to address to complete this release (starting with the famous "token limit") feedback from the community will be appreciated.

🩸 Welcome to the Bloody Tower
You are a college baseball star whose life just took a dark turn. Transported by the ancient god Makuvex into a nightmare realm known as the Bloody Tower, your only way back to Earth is straight up. Luckily, you brought your bat.
Makuvex: The Bloody Tower is a fast-paced 8-bit action roguelike platformer where your best friend isn't a sword—it's a baseball bat! Ascend through deadly, procedurally generated floors, face hordes of demonic creatures, and manage your resources. No two runs will ever be exactly the same. Do you have the reflexes to reach the top?
🎮 Arrow Keys (← →): Move | Z: Jump (Press twice for Double Jump) | X: Swing Baseball Bat Up (↑) + X: Shoot Baseball Projectile | Down (↓) + Z: Dodge Roll (Grants brief invincibility) |

Not Necessarily Asteroids
So this is my first PICO-8 cart. I've never made a game before, PICO-8 seemed a pretty damn fun place to start, and my wife loves Asteroids—so here we are. There's still some things that need tweaked, but I think this is a good start.

Summary
My first flash/arcade style game made on PICO-8, it is an adaptation of fruit drop (or a bucket and coin catch game). I will probably not update this version but I may release a follow up game in the future with more features and a bit more polish.
At every 5 score the speeder becomes more agile and the slalom poles move towards you quicker, the speed and agility caps at a certain point and then the goal is to see how long you can survive for.
Controls
left & Right - move the speeder
X & O - menu buttons
Enter - PICO-8 menu
Simple hypercasual game.
Press any button to change directions.
Dodge blocks, get circles.

Hi Everyone!
This is my first cart submission. I've been playing around in Picotron for a few weeks now, and it might be the best thing in the world ^o^ I've been having a blast learning Lua and figuring out how everything works.
I found this cute wallpaper by CornetTheory that I loved, but it wasn't behaving quite right. So I started fiddling around with the code and ended up getting a bit carried away! I am quite pleased with the results so I thought I would share. I'd love to see others personalise this further with their own sprites. Click here to submit your own fork.
If you don't like the coloured dragons, you can turn them off by setting lemurMode to false on line 24 of main.lua. Or you can set leemsOnly to false if you want all the characters to be able to superwhirl like in the original.
Big thanks to
