Use the arrow keys to collect clocks and extend the time you have left, while avoiding the reapers who will rob you of your time.
Built on top of my previous game, Clock Catcher. My main goal was to play around with the sound a bit and get refamiliarized with it, as well as have some bgm playing. I also decided to change the rules of the game a little bit.

Controls
For the most part, you use ...
up, down, left and right for moving your cursor.
O to confirm
X to go back
Rules
Build a maze on a 60 × 60 tile map where your chosen bird starts at home and must find a way to it's chick hiding in the forest by moving only up, down, left, or right.
The chicken can only walk on grass tiles, while the duck can also cross water tiles. However, neither can get past trees (they are simply too lazy to fly).
There can only be one home and only one chick at a time.
Also, don’t be alarmed if an error message appears. There is an additional purpose to this game that you will discover in the ‘Behind the Scenes’ section.

PodText is a general-purpose tool that allows you to fetch and store pod files as Lua literals. If you've ever felt the need to edit pod files with the same ease as json, then you've got the program to do it right here!
Using the default_app terminal command, you may configure this app to be used to open all pod files as well!

I was working on a tool that would let you view the scoresub of carts (if they supported it) as there's no way to view scoresub tables of cartridges.
This was so I could make a little program that would let you go to the leaderboards for carts; and add notifications for if someone beats your score on a game.
This was what I got:
--[[
queryscoresub.lua
create_process("cart.p64/queryscoresub.lua")
Do not include() this
Allows carts to query your scoresub (no overwriting)
]]
q=env().query_scoresub
if (q) then
ppid=env().parent_pid
event=env().event
timeout=env().timeout or 300
while true do
if (not pid) exit()
local dat=scoresub(q)
--clear functs
local dat=scoresub(q)
if (#dat>0) then
send_message(ppid,{event=event,table=q,data=dat})
exit()
end
timeout-=1
flip()
if (timeout==0) then
send_message(ppid,{event=event,table=q,data={}})
exit()
end
end
else
q=nil
end |
This can be used with
function request_scoresub(cart,table,callback)
local event=stat(333).."_scoresub"
local path="bbs://"..cart..".p64"
path..="/queryscoresub.lua"
local pid=create_process(path,{query_scoresub=table,event=event})
on_event(event, function(msg)
if (msg._from==pid) then -- avoid other carts sending the same event
callback(msg.data)
on_event(event) -- delete
end
end)
end |
The issue with this is that it works fully in theory, but when sandboxed (e.g: a BBS cart, where it's most important), you can't send a message from the BBS cart back to the requester.
This is an open invitation for anyone else to shoot their shot at it; I think a method would be storing files in shared appdata but that's a little iffy because it uses disk (disk thrashing my beloved) and it's technically insecure, for whatever reason someone would want to fake scores on a seperate app.
This is also a request to @zep to make it possible for a BBS/sandboxed cart to send a message back to the creator (say, if create_process has a property that says whether the created cart can send messages unrestricted(?) to it's creator) allowing stuff like this alongside letting scoresub be viewed read-only from external carts other than the cart itself.
Danke!
Flagger
A flag creator!
How to play:
- Press
[○]to start (or[Z]in the keyboard) - Select a ui button using the arrows, then press
[○]or[x]to press the interface buttons
> The first selector "BAND" switches the flag shape
> The other three selectors loop through the colors (basic 16-color palette)
Depending on the flag shape there will be 2 or 3 colors available
> The "R" button at the bottom selects a random flag shape with random colors.
The first flag is be created randomly with a subset of colors (to avoid duller combinations)
Description:

This is a small game I made to test the new highscores feature
Help the potato avoid the threats and survive as long as you can!
You can hop by clicking or by presssing the Z and X buttons
UPDATE: changed potato behavior to avoid ceiling cheesing

Demake of a game created by yiotro.
The original game has sadly shut down its servers. I miss it so much I had to make it in Pico-8.
Play against AI or with a friend! (Or just watch the AI play against itself!)
Try to knock all your opponent's balls off the table before they do!
Select your ball with L/R and X
Set your shot angle with L/R (up/down for fine aim)
Hold down X and use up/down to set your power
Once you've perfected your shot, release X to let your ball fly!
This demake is not totally polished; the AI is a bit drunk and the collisions can be janky at times. It doesn't do the original game justice by any means but it was a great learning experience for me to make!

A fairly common word game where you need to work out what number corresponds to which letter. It can be played in an easy mode where you are given a couple of the letters beforehand, or a hard mode with no clues (challenging but rewarding).
Controls
Start screen
Use left/right arrow to select difficulty.
In game
Arrow keys to move around.
Press 🅾️ to select current letter and press 🅾️ again to place.
You can pick up a letter already placed on the grid with 🅾️ and move it or use ❎ to return it to the pile .
Press ❎ to drop the selected letter and pick another (also a quick way to jump to the letters).

Description:
A high-stakes cosmic hunting game where speed is your weapon and your weakness. In the cold void of space, they are faster than you. To catch them, you must push your engine to the limit. But beware: your boost is your only shield, and your greed for high scores will leave your tank empty when you need to survive.
Experience the roar of the horizontal engine shake and the satisfying "BASHUN" sound as you pulverize those who dare to cross your path.
Controls:
[Left / Right]: Steer the ship
[X / V / ❎]: Start Game / Retry
(Z / C / 🅾️): BOOST
Note: You are ONLY invincible while boosting!
Pro-Tips (The "seopon" Method):
1.Chase the Echo: The scoring stays active until the enemy reaches -50 on the Y-axis. Don't let them escape into the distance!

GO smash that ball, OPERATE your physics, MAKE your victories, EARN your hats, NEVER give up!
GOMEN!
In Gomen, hit the ball to earn points, and aim for coins to unlock new hats and costumes in the title screen!
Beat your highscore and improve your gameplay!

Doggy Daycare is a management sim where you have to take care of doggies for a day, but beware these dogs bite and also run..
Features
- Take care of up to 10 various dogs (only 4 types of dogs, more coming soon)

- Make sure the dogs have water and food, you don't want them to start a fight
- Use your leash to redirect the dogs, moving towards or away from one another (they will fight, sometimes...)
- Pet the doggies to show them your love, keep them happy and they will give you a good time.
Controls
- use X to interact and O to leash a near-by dog

Candy Chomp is another tiny game challenge on SpaceCat's Skool and this time the theme was candy. I struggled a bit because of the drive to make something "original" but I thought better of it in the end.
Move the mouth around with the arrow keys and eat the candy. Every piece of candy has its own score value, indicated by the pitch of the sound it makes when you eat it. Miss 10 candies and it's over.
Press X for a tiny speed boost, and there's also a wraparound to make sure you have an edge over those pesky out-of-reach candies. Hve fun ^^

Snake 3310 is a tribute to the iconic Snake II from the Nokia 3310 era, rebuilt for Picotron.
Features
-
1bit Aesthetics: Pure nostalgic vibes.
-
4 Difficulty Levels: Can you handle the heat of Mamba mode? Or will you chill with Python?
-
BBS Leaderboards: Compete for the Top 3 in every difficulty level. Let’s see who really owns the grid!
-
Revamped Bonus Mechanics: Eat animals for massive points! Spawns now have different rarities, ranging from 20 points for the most common to a whopping 200 points for the rarest.
-
NEW! Kittens Hazard: Kittens now roam the map. Be warned... DO NOT try to eat them! They are infamous snake predators.
-
NEW! Trophies: Added 10 secret trophies to collect. Can you platinum the game? (More coming in future updates!)
- Perfect Win: Can you achieve the impossible and fill the entire screen?
Feedback welcome!
