A short atmospheric platformer with metroidvania elements. Your UFO has been knocked out of the sky by scavengers and you're now trapped in their swampy junk yard. With the help of some friendly aliens, find a way to disable the electromagnetic pulse cannon that's keeping you from escaping.
This was my entry for RNDGAME Jam 2020.
Left/Right - Move
Z - Jump
X - Use Zapper (once you have received it)
Up/Down - Cycle Zapper Modes (when you have more than 1)

Oh, know full well I can recover about 2000 tokens from shifting the table definitions into strings. This was a game jam so it was about getting as much done in a short time frame as possible. I got the game made without worrying about those extra token saving measures and that's all that matters.

Heh, don't worry about it. I'm sure you had fun looking into it (I know I would have). That's why we're all here, right? Not just to have fun making games but to learn and share what we've learnt with each other.

Another fantastic masterpiece from paranoidcactus! Seriously man, good job, had great fun playing it. One complaint which I already have seen someone mention is getting lost. Maybe a map, or to reduce clutter, different environment types? Again fantastic work this is and was a joy to play! -scrub

I like how the coins can be used to tell if you've been in an area already. Really clever

Great little game. Definitely a gold-standard for budding devs to aspire to. Apart from a mini-map feature, it would be nice if the game recorded your best score and best clear time.

I haven't really played yet, but this dynamic intro sequence is amazing! Excellent work.

This game is so cool and I think it would be worth an expanded version using the multicarting system. My only gripes are the lack of map which resulted in me getting lost a lot of the time AND the fact it wasn't longer. I do see it says it was made for a Game Jam and token limitations make sense, but I think a full exported release would be great for a game like this! It's such a unique and fun little concept that has so much potential and I'd love to see you expand on it more.

What a lovely game. You need to play it late at night. That atmosphere... so eerie, yet cute.
One minor gripe is that I was accidentally changing zapper modes all the time.

This was a wonderful and fun little game; the level of polish here was quite excellent. Thanks for sharing!
