Pretty neat game, MHugson ! I can see it might be possible to make it a bit of an aggressive play with one skier jumping on top of another having bested a crest in the waves.

Might make that score or lose a life or something.

Might add particle effects to show the water spraying from behind. Water might have a moving pattern beneath too to emphasize vision of motion.

Nice physics! You could do a demake of Tiny Wings with that type of stuff maybe. Lots of possibilities with that type of action.

I'm trying 0.5 and can't score at all. I land right on top of the opponent and the game goes on like I completely missed.

??? Oh, okay, you have to push DOWN on the controller while in mid-air. That's not listed in the instructions. I got it now.

I'd just like to point out as well that trying to use the up & down arrows in conjunction with the left & right ones is incredibly awkward on the PocketCHIP.
I'd suggest the O or X button instead. :)

I can't stop playing this game, it's so simple yet so addictive!
I even reached the black palette, that's very difficult ( and it's a good thing :D).
If you want, it would be nice to have a death match between two players :)

At some point i started to bounce from head to head as the enemies appeared on the screen without being bouced on by anyone, until the black palette surprised me.. a bit of luck, a lot of training :)

It took me a bit to figure out the strategy, but I found it really satisfying that I could trick the enemies by catching them while they were riding down a wave so I could get in the air first, and then start bouncing off them for combos... Really fun game. :D

This is a really fun game. Fun little mechanic and a challenging game built around it.

I can't help but feel like it's a little tooo hard, though. I scored 28 once, which was a blast since I was bouncing from man to man, but the vast majority of my plays I struggle to get 1 or 2 then i get stomped.

I realize that the game is kind of 'fair' right now, that is, your opponents have similar movements and movesets to you (bravo on the AI, btw). However, in the name of fun, might it be worthwhile to gimp them a little somehow? Like, maybe their stomps move slower than yours, or maybe they can't jump as high? They are all on a team, afterall, so this might be evening the playing field.

I don't want to just say "itz too hard," but the fun runs area reaaally good, but boring runs are... kind of blah, and there are so many of them. Just some thoughts.

paloblancogames: Thanks for the feedback! I really struggled with that aspect of the game. It was really hard to make them easier without making the game super easy. The moment I nerf the AI at all, they seem to be really easy to knock off (eg. if they move slower than the player, all you need to do is constantly move away from them and they can't hit you). If I come back for a version 1.1 that will be one of the areas I look into!

Wow, this game is really fun + catchy – music is simple, but contributes to the arcade feel and is a good match. The color palette is also really nice. Really enjoying playing this game! I've looped through color palettes a couple times, though it seems a little inconsistent – description says I think that it changes palette when you score 5 its? But, if I chain combos I can get it to shift really quickly vs if I don't chain combos I can stay in the same palette for a long time – for instance, in my high score of 60, I didn't loop through all the pallets, just up through sunrise (bright red/orange?), didn't even make it to "midnight". Anyhow, lots of fun!

High score: 60! Again, thank you so much, this is a really fun catchy game! It would be neat if there was a little more sense of progression somehow, if you ever consider expanding on it... :)

You actually have to HIT a multiple of 5 exactly to get new palette. Meaning if you are at score of 3, and then get a 2 chain (worth 3) you will jump to 6 points and not move to next palette. It's kind of weird, and originally a bug, but I liked that it added a little meta to the game. Amazing you made it to 60 though!! Must have had a crazy big chain combo.

Ahh!! That makes a little more sense ~ definitely a bit odd, would have taken me a while to figure that out maybe, but it is neat. Yes, that was such an amazing run! I actually pulled it off again this afternoon too! It gets really intense when the screen gets crowded on palette swaps, and I was a little disappointed – I hadn't realized I had such a good score but also hadn't beaten my previous record!

Edit: Yeah, just chained a +10 combo in a row and got 63 without actually shifting palette more than the first pink palette (sunset?).

Anyhow, thanks this is a really fun game. Easy to pick up and play for a few minutes when I am taking a break, and I love the aesthetic. Definitely would be interested if you were considering expanding on the premise. I don't know if it would mess with the balance, but you might consider adding "power ups" that appear periodically, and maybe you can save up to 2 or something, and then if you use them they give you a short boost in speed – this might be useful in dodging under dropping skids.

I think you've created a perfect game. This is crazy fun and addictive, and it just feels so good to zip off waves and bounce off enemies.

Just about the only suggestion I can think of is to add a brief musical jingle for combos that increases in pitch as you get higher and higher combos. It would definitely make the game more fun for me.

Great game, my high-score is currently 22. About the AI, I think its fine, but its a bit unforgiving. Overall, a nice challenge. I feel like this would work great as a mobile game, lol
