I was procrastinating another project and this came out of it… Anyways have fun playing!
v2.0 is here! Somehow I wasn't done procrastinating, so I overhauled a ton! I went from using the map and teleporting the player to using tables to make the layout. I also don't need 4 copies of each room anymore since I made the game able to read the map table rotated. I also used a template to make a small animation for rotating the world :) Links to the templates I used are at the top of the code.

THE STORY
You are Laika, a skilled space force pilot tasked with saving the solar system...
Maneuvre through 9 waves of the evil parasitic Cyberzoids
to save your homeworld!
Use the Omega Wing to fire bolts of
Ohm Plasma to plough your way through the hordes of automatons
and defeat their commander... THE PANOPTICON.

Just finished my first Break Out clone in PICO-8! It's been a great learning experience.
Features:
- Angle control based on paddle hit position
- Colorful brick rows (5 rows, 7 columns)
- Progressive difficulty (ball speeds up every 2 points)
- Juice effects: particles, screen shake, freeze frames
- Normalized ball physics (consistent speed at all angles)

What I learned:
- AABB collision detection with axis response
- Vector normalization for consistent movement speed
- Blending player input with momentum for natural ball control
- State machine for game flow (start → idle → playing → win/lose)
Field Jump
Field Jump is a side scrolling platformer, similar to the Chrome Dinosaur Game but with levels and many more features.
How to play
Objectives
- Collect coins to progress
- Avoid obstacles (hurdles, cars, birds etc)
- Collect chicken to replenish health
- Change lanes only when there's a gap in the fence
Controls
- Z/X to jump/select
- up/down to change lanes (when there's a gap in fence)
- right to speed up, left to slow down
Key features
- 8 levels with increasing difficulty
- 10 Achievements to unlock
- Easy and Normal modes to adjust the difficulty.
- Level scores and achievements are separate for each mode.
- Complete all 8 levels to unlock infinite run.

A PICO-8 demake of Sarn's MineSorter!
I was playing the original and thought it would be a fun project to recreate in PICO-8 as a way to learn the quirks of the platform :)

As per the original:
This game is played entirely with the left mouse button.
Drop mines into their correct boxes before they explode!
Drag to select multiple mines for more score.
Boxes can also be dragged around the screen.

Introduction:
Render Edit is a portal based map editor created for Backrooms Level 0 and Render Space Engine by ElectricGryphon. (See https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=152772)
This really only functions using a computer as a local cart -- while you can play around with the basic functions on a phone or online, you won't be able to save or load files.
Fair warning--this is far from user friendly, and creating a map editor within Pico8 while also building a game engine was not the wisest of choices. As it stands, this is right at the token limit and will need refactoring in order to enable any feature additions or interface improvements. Not only does this harken back to the dark ages of GUI design, but it also suffers from Pico8's lack of a native file opening routines. So yeah... it's hacky. Consider yourself warned.

What You'll Learn
Level 1: Sin/Cos/Atan2 The eye follows your mouse cursor. Uses atan2() to calculate the angle between two points, and sin()/cos() to position the pupil at a fixed distance.
Level 2: Movement & Distance The eye now chases the mouse! Uses direction vectors (cos(angle), sin(angle)) multiplied by speed to create linear movement.
