World of Pixeltron (WOP)
After much trouble and debugging I have gotten this to connect to a local Express API and successfully:
- signup
- login / logout
- check users
- ping the API
I have not written any state logic for the game part yet. I’m also not the best pixel artist in the world — but the network backbone is working.
Why I’m Posting This
My hope is to find like-minded individuals who want to help create something really neat for folks with Picotron cyberdecks everywhere.
I named the cart WOP for World of Pixeltron.
A Little Background
As of recent months I got pulled into WoW Classic and the whole Turtle WoW “Classic+” hype.
I’ve run my own private WoW server for years, building backend and database systems.
At first, I didn’t think parts of the client were editable… then projects started popping up.
That’s also when Blizzard’s ban hammers started falling.

Hey everyone !
After letting it sail the seas of Steam for a bit, it's time for Atollo to finally land on its intended platform : the one and only Pico-8 :))
So, what's Atollo ?
In a nutshell, it's a short, replayable adventure where you hunt for magical eggs to awaken the mighty kraken and restore the world harmony. Each run features a completely new map to explore, new goofy characters, slow-paced naval combat, and chunky pixel art 🐪
Features :
🗺️ The map is procedurally-generated, so no two voyages are the same.
🚢 Naval combat is all about positioning and timing your cannon shots !
🌴 Each run, you'll meet all sorts of bizarre characters, from a moon with sunglasses to a simple coffee pot 😳
🥚 Each character will give you a magical egg if you get close enough. Your goal is to collect all five :))
🐙 Once you have the eggs, you can unlock the squiddy boss battle at the center of the map.
📸 After each run, you get a cool "group photo" of the characters you met, with silhouettes hinting at who you have left to find.

StarFunkers
Objective
You are Captain Dirk Funker of the 23rd Legion of The Star Army. Deep behind enemy lines on a stealth mission, your position is exposed, and you must face the hordes of alien ships with only your trusty starship.
Collect powerups to upgrade your ship and blast away the baddies!
Controls
Use the arrow keys to pilot your ship, and the X button to fire your laser.
Rules
When you collide with an enemy ship, or are shot by an enemy laser, your ship explodes and you lose one life. Your current count of extra lives is displayed in the left hand corner of the HUD next to your score.
There are three types of enemy ships:
- Yellow Bug Ships fly only horizontally and shoot lasers downward.
This is a "base" cart with extra features (wow!)
Would appreciate notification of any bugs
How to set up cart:
- delete all demo values (functions included)
- delete the sections in the loop functions which say "delete this"
- if you want to use more than 64 cartdata values, set
saverange_startto the first memory address in the range subtracted by 0x8000, and setsaveidsto the number of extra 64 cartdata values you need. - set
game_idto your cartridge id. this will be used in cartdata functions and reloading for calibrating and recalibrating save values - set the
g_init,g_updateandg_drawfunctions to your own loops
optionals
So I created a .txt file in the same folder as my .p64 and then i tried to import it into a string but the fetch command cant seem to find it, any hints?
local mytext = ""
function _init()
mytext = fetch("verses.txt") or "could not load file"
end
function _draw()
cls(0)
print(mytext, 4, 4, 7) -- print the string at (4,4) in color 7
end

Inspired by q*bert and jezzball, here's q*ball! It's my entry for Pico-1k 2025, and comes in a 1020 compressed bytes, and all of the sprite data is generated by the code itself.
Q*BALL
Leap into action in Q*BALL a mashup of the classic games Q*Bert and Jezzball crafted for Pico1k 2025 Jam.
Your mission may seem easy at first: simply hop across a pyramid of cubes, marking lines for destruction, but the relentless randomly bouncing q*balls are here to thwart your plans, endlessly undoing your work. Trap them away to keep them from interfering!
How many levels can you clear?
How to play:
- Hop around the pyramid to paint lines of cubes, diagonally or horizontally. Once a line of cubes has been marked, it'll be dropped from play, and any blocks that become separated from the player and the q*balls will slowly decay. Clear at least 16 blocks per level to advance.

I'm working on a 3d game, and I can't find a triangle fill function. I've got a triangle wireframe function that uses the line function, but I can't figure out how to make one to fill a triangle. I know it's possible, there are 3d renderers out there, I just need a function that takes in x1,y1, x2,y2, x3,y3, col and draws a triangle.
Not sure if i'll finish the game and release it though, but it's a flight simulator, so i don't want bugs with them far away.

An event object, similar to Actions in C#.
Every event is a list of Listeners.
Listeners are just functions that can have a table associated with the them.
It is also possible to pass parameters to Listeners on invoke.
API
mkevent()
Creates and return a new event table.
event=mkevent() |
invoke(varargs)
Invokes the event and call all Listeners.
Parameters:
- varargs: Variable parameters.
--invoke without parameters event:invoke() --invoke with parameters as needed event:invoke(5,"string") |
add(ptr, functionName)
Subscribe to the event.
Parameters:

1kWorms
Aim at the targets and get the best score.
This game is part of the pico1k jam 2025.
You have a limited action points to move forward (move backward is free) and shoot.
When you touch a target you get action points and a score based on the distance.
The farthest the target is the more points you get.
You can scroll the screen to see the next targets by using A button and right arrow.
Try to beat the highscore !
Manual

Controls
⬅️➡️ to move forward and backward
⬆️⬇️ to change the angle of the cannon
B button to shoot (the more you push on the button the more powerfull the bullet will be)
