So, took a break from my other level, which I got annoyed by, and created this one.
It didn't turn out exactly how I wanted because of a bug/invisible monster or something I'm not sure of , but I solved that with another trigger.

Hope you like it :)

The previous stab I made at this was... meh.

I made this object set, based off the dungeons in The Legend of Zelda, and intended to make a level with them and then release the objects, but I've been too occupied with other things to actually make it. I WILL get around to making levels with this.

All objects in dungeons, excluding staircases and items, are here. I copied them directly from screenshots, pixel by pixel, with the exception of the doors, which I made myself, because I could find no way to make the actual doors from the game look proper, given Voxatron's camera angle, and the "angle" of the original graphics on the NES.

I took the liberty of giving the tiles and blocks a little dimension, so they don't just look painted on. I would have done the same for the statues, the old man, and the fire, but I couldn't find any way to do it without it looking awful.

I made a test room just to demonstrate how it can be used. I'm throwing this out there for anyone to use. Maybe I'll do this again in the future with a different game. Probably Dragon Warrior.

Edit: Just remembered about the existence of VOBs. Oh well, anyone who wants to use this can just open this level in the editor and use the objects like that, right?

Great job guys !

I just bought 2 copies (one for me, another one for a friend). I already love it. I want to thank you for a couple of reasons:

  • No DRM: I totally understand that although it's a risk that you take and I can assure you that it is the reason why I bought it.
  • There is an editor, which means that the game is going to have a long play time. The community will do a lot of extra levels!
  • And of course, the concept is great.

Great job to all of you, I hope you're going to make some cash on this game...

Keep it up!

p.s.
God, If one day, there is a multiplayer mode (coop), I buy it again at double price !!

I was making a character skin but it wont show on VOB #6 when I try to load it again. The character appears on the Load Level screen but it doesnt show when I load the object.

I have to start making those Portal game characters again, sigh.

Quick character edit using a Skin Template. Voxatron on a Blue armor and Dark swordsman suit when you use Sword of Fortune. It also has a muzzle animation when you fire guns.

I have an Xbox 360 controller hooked up to my computer and it works fine for the game. The only problem is that it only works in game, not on any of the menus. Slightly annoying but I am sure it can be fixed?

Hey guys! Me again!

Are any of you fans of Chiptune music? I know I sure am. So much so in fact, that I've slowly been compiling a playlist on Youtube of some of the best Chiptune [mostly] I've come across. It's currently up to 88 videos with a total running time of 4:40:49.

Interested? Check it out here: Chiptune'd!

Unfortunately, I haven't really updated it in quite a while, so if you know any music that you think would be a great addition to the playlist, drop a comment and I'll look into it!

Recently Added Artists:

  • Zabutom
  • Dubmood
  • Octapus
  • VVVVVV Soundtrack (SoulEye)

Sorry, I needed to make an important change to make the final battle much harder. Version one can be easy and version two hard.
