I'm mostly just posting this as an easy way to share it with my interested friends who want to try it, but this started as an attempt to make a falling-block puzzle game with only one button controls.
Starting with the four basic elements: Earth, Fire, Water, and Air; you drop clusters of elemental tiles into the well. Matching 3 or more tiles horizontally or vertically clears those tiles, but leaves their essence behind. Tiles that land inside the essence may have a reaction, leading to them being cleared or changed into another, perhaps undiscovered by you, element.
I don't consider the current slate of elements to be complete, but depending on how the game feels to play, I might end up overhauling all of the elements and their reactions before I'm satisfied with it.

I made this game in 3 weeks for my very first game jam, the Comfy Jam on itch.io which has just finished up! I came 12th overall out of 100 entries which I'm really happy with. You can view all the brilliant games here: https://itch.io/jam/comfy-jam-autumn-2025/entries
The main gameplay is inspired by Papers, Please, one of my favourite games. The thing I'm most proud of overall is the randomised vampire appearances - I think they came out super cute! I used mirrored half-sprites to make the most of space on the sprite sheet. Generally I'm proud because this is quite a big step up from my previous game, but it felt manageable with what I've learned so far. I'm thinking about making an infinite version too, if people would be interested.
Thanks for playing!

Ever wonder what it would be like to play the drums in a promising up and coming new black metal band? Now is your chance to find out!
Every detail of band life has been lovingly simulated. Play on a fully immersive drum kit. Play festivals! Get signed by a label and hit the studio!
So realistic, you might think you're in an actual band.

Hi folks,
I've been getting Pico8 set up on an Anbernic Handheld running Knulli Gladiator II. But it can't download carts.
I followed this guide and all is working and I can run Splore and refresh lists. But when I try to use a cart it says "Could not connect to BBS".
There are some posts around suggesting I need to put a .wgetrc somewhere. But the posts are for PlumOS (e.g. https://github.com/game-de-it/plumOS-GKD/issues/7).
I've copied the .wgetrc to various places, restarted, and had no luck.
Does anyone know how to get this working on Knulli?
(Note, I'm a software dev who's fine with ssh and command line stuff. I know what .wgetrc does. I just don't know where to put it on this OS!)
Thanks
(The browser version currently does not work, BBS-embedded carts cannot fetch from the web, it appears)
Load with load #super_piconet_explorer, then run to install. For full functionality, must be unsandboxed!
Only unsandbox if you trust this cart and its protections against potential malicious websites! This is much like the "Do you trust this application to make changes to your computer?" popup that Windows has.
(To unsandbox, right click the cart file in Picotron after saving, then click "about [cartname].p64", then click the "[/] SANDBOXED" at the bottom.)

Let me know about any bugs (although I'm not sure there are any right now and please give me some more ideas for expansion. I have some listed in the code already at the bottom of tab 0 (-- phase --) if you want to look at those. I hope I will update this soon. I'm not sure if I will because I already am starting to work on another game. If people like this though I will update it and add a lot more to it.

Makes Picotron (the app itself) crash if your cartridge crashes (intended for when exporting only).
create_process("picotronCrash.lua",{id=pid(),interval=1}) creates a process that will check that the id (your cartridge) is still running every (interval) seconds.
If there's a way to detect a crash instantly, I will update this.
picotronCrash.lua
local crashcheckinterval=env().interval or 5
local tocheck=time()+crashcheckinterval
local id=env().id or -1
function _update()
if (time()>tocheck) then
local processes=fetch("/ram/system/processes.pod")
local crash=true
for i=1, #processes do

WARFORGE is a turn-based strategy game about army composition, positioning, and knowing when to attack. You must master the art of pulling your opponent into conflicts which put them at a disadvantage in order to win. Simultaneously, you must build and protect infrastructure to collect valuable Water and Oil.
The game requires 2 controllers to be played. There is currently not a single-player mode. I've tested the game in the program PARSEC extensively and it works well, so if you want to play with someone but aren't in the same room, try that!
Any feedback is appreciated of course! Please do keep in mind this is my first upload, and I'm still a beginner to scripting.
