This is a game I'm trying out for the Gamers Club event coming next week on (you guessed it) Halloween. It's been a crunch to get it here but it's in the first releaseable state :)
It's a classic shmup I made using the tutorial from Lazy Devs (https://www.youtube.com/@LazyDevs). Thanks guys!
I intend to expand on the game and cleanup the code now that I'm more familiar with lua. It's a big mess, but it's made with love. It might be a bit difficult for kids as no healing items have been implemented yet.
In Linux Mint, I ran the "folder" command, and after picotron minimized, the mouse kept being sent back to a particular location near the top right of the screen. I think I saw some similar posts concerning maybe MacOS but did not see this precise issue on Linux Mint described, so I made a new post. Thanks!

Inspiration
My wife has ADHD so she loves playing Tetris. I love indie and retro games. I wanted to make something as simple as Tetris but could also be complex if you get good. This is my first project. This was made with AI for coding so i wanted to try to make simple gameplay that the AI wont have too much trouble figuring out.
Version- v1.0 (Initial Release)

- Hold X- Expands circle
- Goal- Expand the circle until it hits perfectly on the outside rings

Have you ever wondered what your dog dreams about? I'm pretty sure my dog, Lt. Dan, dreams of running through fields and gobbling all the snacks. In Lt. Dan's Dream Run, you get to help Lt. Dan (yes, that is his real name, and yes, he has magic legs) through his dream. Use the arrow keys to move around and eat the treats before they leave the screen. Level up every ten devoured snacks!

back story
This is one of the first ideas I had for a simple Pico-8 game. My first iteration was incredibly clunky, but family and friends still had fun with it. I wrote most of this version in a weekend after learning a lot more about Pico-8. It's hopefully proof that a game doesn't have to be super-fancy to still make people smile. I hope it gives you a few minutes of joy.
Feather Wrench Tower Defense 1.2
A tower defense where you can put towers anywhere, and even fuse them to create stronger ones called builds !
Inspired by plants vs zombies
Full playthrough here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_s65lGC5QEk&t=0s
(This is my first pico 8 game !)
Controls
This game is played with the mouse and arrow keys
Click and drag to create a tower
Click again on a tower to move it
Drag a tower onto another one and create a build if you have it unlocked
Gameplay
You need to protect the heart from the evil plants (don't worry killing those plants won't cause global warming)

A nanoscale blast-em-up with tight maneuvers and death gifs, for one or two pilots.
How to play
As an old-school-style arcade game, Zaag of course is asking you to dodge and blast enemies with difficulty just on this side of reasonable.
But your blaster needs to charge up at the start of every level, leaving you to rely on just your teleporter and your guts. Be sure to review your death gif when things go wrong (enabled in pause menu).
"Reblastered"
This is not a sequel, but an improved version of the old Zaag. If you played that game, this adds:
- better controls (joystick friendly)
Reversi for Picotron
So I noticed that there was no version of Reversi/Othello for Picotron, which surprised me a lot!
Anyway, here is a version of it.
Features
- Play against another player (hotseat style)
- Play against a really dumb AI that takes a random available move
- Play against a slightly less idiotic AI that takes the move that will give it the most points
- Play against a slightly less idiotic AI that takes the move that will give it the most points while prioritizing the border fields (default)
(If you're wondering why the AI does not move immediately, you have to click for it to make it perform a move.)
Changelog
V 1.0
Initial release
Very simple multiplayer app/game
Proof of concept demo of using TCP for multiplayer Picotron games
Includes logs (client & host), works online
Requires unsandboxed
Works as a host & client
Can select: ip, port, name (your id in the game) and a sprite (paste a sprite)
Leaving blank should work
Windows didn't like '127.0.0.1' as the IP (unsure why), linux worked fine.
If linux doesn't work with 'localhost' as ip, switch to 127.0.0.1!
Online stuff located in onlineFuncts.lua (might seperate this to a custom TCP library for ease)
Lots of help from unmatched bracket to learn how TCP works and patch bugs.
Feel free to use for projects, if you use my code specifically - please credit (can be in a very obscure place 99% people won't see) <3

Mr. Universe doesn't know how he got here either, but he does know one thing: that catnip was the best he's ever had!

My first PICO-8 game (first game at all in over a decade), made using the Cave Diver tutorial in Dylan Bennett's PICO-8 zine
Bread is bad for ducks!
Navigate a growing maze of moldy bread to catch fish and get fed before the time runs out.
Controls:
Arrow keys to move
Z or X for everything else!
Pass level 10 to win! (for a cute surprise)
This is the first game I've made that isn't just directly from a tutorial. It's very basic (and a bit more difficult and stressful than I intended lol) but I'm proud of how much I learned making this, and I think it's pretty cute. Thanks to SpaceCat, doc_robs and bridgs whose youtube videos were invaluable, and to everyone on the forum who answered my random questions! It's been great coming into a community where people are so willing to help. Would love to hear any feedback on this game (Especially ways the code could be more efficient).

On a recent trip to Arstotzka I discovered the wild amount of knock-off products lining street merchant stalls all throughout the capital city. I brought a few knickknacks home, but my favorite had to be this "Flappy Bird" knock-off game cart for the ancient Kvant-IG80 console.
The game instructions were simple enough to translate: "Press ❎ to fly your majestic Arstotzkan eagle into the heart of our great nation. Glory to Arstotzka."
I have yet to make it to the "heart"--frankly I don't think there is an end to the game. Anyway, don't tell the authorities but I dumped cart and published the code on Github.
