Soar through the air and slalom between pylons, but watch out for trees and hot air balloons!
This is a partial remake of Bob Whitehead's Sky Jinks for the Atari VCS.

How to Play

Slalom past 25 pylons as quickly as possible.

You MUST pass red pylons on the right and blue pylons on the left.
Passing a pylon on the wrong side does not count!

Can you pass ALL of the pylons correctly and record a fast time?
My personal best for Level 1 is 0:26.93.

Random mode is also included. In this version, the game keeps going until you pass 25 pylons correctly! How long will it take you?

Controls

  • Left/Right to bank left or right

Hey everyone 👋

This is a small stealth platformer about timing, patience, and learning patterns.

This is my first game. I had never coded before starting this project. I just wanted to learn, experiment, and most importantly, finish something.

If you take a few minutes to try it, thank you. Any feedback is welcome.

The game takes around 2-4 minutes to complete.

If you complete the game, feel free to share a screenshot of your win screen or stats. I'd love to see how you did.

About the Game

Your goal is simple: move carefully, avoid the guards, and reach the exit.
Look closely. Some spaces offer protection.

Core Elements:

  • Minimal mechanics
  • Tight movement
  • Short, focused experience
  • A small but satisfying victory moment

It's not a big game, but it's a finished one.

Controls

Keyboard or controller supported.

Move → ⬅️➡️ Arrow keys or joystick
Hide / Select → 🅾️ (Z key or A button)

Lane Key Color
< Left ⬅️ Red
v Down ⬇️ Blue
^ Up ⬆️ Green
> Right ➡️ Yellow

Press O or X to navigate menus.

Timing Ratings

I noticed that you could make interactable wallpapers, and that gave me an idea: make a wallpaper that's also a game!

Help Captain Cursor collect coins before the giant bouncing smiley face hugs him to death!

Updates

1.1: The face never bounces at a completely horizontal/vertical angle, and its speed maxes out at 30 px/frame instead of 20.
1.2: Added coins. The smiley face changes direction when you die to it. The smiley's speed is based on how many coins you have rather than how long you've survived.
1.2.1: The coins can never spawn in locations where they're completely obscured by the text.

This is my first PICO-8 game, and I decided I'd start simple with a snake clone. I decided to use an orange instead of an apple because the bricks were already red, and I also just wanted some variety.

For generations, the people of your land have lived in fear of the return of the ancient dragon, Umbris. It was foretold that one day, Umbris would reappear to exact its revenge upon the descendants of those who defeated it once before.

That day has come. Umbris has burned villages, slaughtered innocents, and ravaged the fertile lands of your people. The King has called upon his bannermen to send their bravest. Take up arms and scale the tower to defeat Umbris and his minions, or be consumed by the halls of hell that await you.

You Reap What You Sow

A simple farming game, grow your pumpkins and see how long you can last.
Progress the day to grow your seeds, buy and sell at the stores in the small town to the right. Manage your time and energy to raise your revenue as high as you can.

X - Progress day at Red door, collect water at well, plant, water, harvest, buy, sell.

New features planned for down the line include NPCs (with maybe a little bit of romance sprinkled in) and a new secondary farm to the right side of the town

Based on Spacecat's Simple Farming Game 2025 version

Just a silly little shmup for the love of my life, based on a recurring conversation we have about the zombie apocalypse. Happy Valentine's Day, Michael.

Controls

  • Arrow keys to move
  • x to shoot zombies

Rules

Michael (blue penguin) wants to kill zombies. You are Michael. Julia (pink penguin) wants to get eaten by zombies. Don't let Julia get eaten! Michael has four lives. Julia has one.

Credits

I've never made a game before, so I made good use of Krystman's shmup tutorial. Initial inspiration came from Juniper Dev's great video on tiny games.

Controls:

Z: confirm / walk slow
X: run
Up: walk forward
Down: walk back
Left: turn left
Right: turn right

Somewhere between DOOM and Super 3D Noah's Ark is a little corner of raycasting HELL that's centered on one thing: Casually walking (or running) through tessellations of maze design with a map that doesn't show your location, from the upper-left to the lower-right. Be careful not to touch the walls.

GitHub: https://github.com/sdGLS-x86/Picotron-CSV-Library

A lightweight, robust, and "safe" CSV library for Picotron. It handles reading, writing, and dynamic table manipulation while ensuring your data stays structured and free of nil errors.

Features

  • Auto-detection: Automatically identifies delimiters (,, ;, :).
  • String-Strict: All data is stored and returned as strings to avoid precision issues.
  • Dense Structure: Automatically fills gaps with "" to maintain a rectangular table.
  • Smart Cleanup: Removes entire rows or columns if they become empty after a deletion.
  • Standard Compliant: Ensures files end with a trailing newline (\n).

The API reference is inside of csv.lua

Example code

include"csv.lua"
-- create a new table for a highscore system
local highscores=csv_create(1, 3) -- 1 row, 3 columns
-- add data easily
csv_set(highscores, 1, 1, "Rank")
csv_set(highscores, 1, 2, "Name")

Good morning! I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read this or play today’s update. I wanted to share some cover art for a fictional game box I made, inspired by old retro PC games.

As for the update itself, I fixed a few bugs and laid the groundwork for a custom font to help with readability. Right now you can only see parts of it on the start screen. It’ll take a bit before I roll it out everywhere, but I want it to feel more fantasy-themed.

There’s also a new item called the Ritual Totem, which lets you bind a reaper. The reaper appears at the start of each match, summons bats, and slowly dies over time. The bats swarm and can fly, but they’re pretty weak. That said, the extra pressure at the start of a fight feels really strong right now. Don’t pick it up twice though, it doesn’t stack yet. I still need to figure out how to make that work in a way that makes sense.

Hey folks,

Can anyone give me some pointers about how I can achieve smooth analogue scrolling in all directions?

I am trying to make a game where the player rotates left and right in an analogue way (like a spaceship in Asteroids, say), and moves constantly in the direction they face, and the world (with a tilemap) scrolls smoothly beneath them.

However, no matter what I try, I get a nasty judder in many of the directions as I move around. If I clamp the movement amount in x/y to -1/0/+1 the judder goes away (this has the added problem of making you move faster in diagonal directions), but as soon as I attempt true analogue movement, I get the judder.

I've done a bunch of reading threads and I understand that "All numbers in PICO-8 must be an integer multiple of the smallest representable number, 2^-16" - I just don't know how to use that information.

If anyone has any tips, or can point me toward a smooth analogue scrolling game I can peer at, I'd be most grateful. Thanks!

I've never uploaded anything here before, so I don't know how this will go. I've been learning Lua and Pico-8, as well as LOVE2D. And I had fun learning, so I decided to make a little cart with the code I knew, as well as using a library for dialog text boxes by oli414.
I know it's very basic, but it was fun.
I'll also be embedding this elsewhere so that's why the some of the text may not make sense here.

This is our take on the popular card game "Set", which is a puzzle game about making unique combinations of cards. This interpretation is meant to be a relaxing experience, aimed at helping the user hone their skills.

You can read more about Set here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Set_(card_game)

There are 81 unique cards in the deck. Each card has four features, which vary across the following characteristics:

Symbol: Diamond, Pill, or Squiggle
Number of Symbols: 1, 2, or 3
Symbol Color: Green, Red, or Purple
Symbol Shading: Filled, Empty, or Striped

A set is made by selecting 3 cards, and that set is valid if each feature for each card is all the same, or all different.

A turn-based puzzle game where you poke the flame towards the lamp.

Start by lighting the lamps in Tutorial Town and then spread the light from neighborhood to neighborhood.

The cartridge should remember your progress if you ever leave it and come back.

Controls

X: Place and rotate pokes
Z: Start turn
D: Reset level (press twice to clear all pokes)
F: Skip level
E: Skip back to previous level

Arrow keys: Navigate the level with the cursor

If you ever play this on mobile or on some hardware device: D, F, and E are not available but you can reset/skip/skip back from the menu.

The Concept

This is a pretty brainy puzzle game inspired by older games like Castlemouse 2000 or Blobbo. Castlemouse gave me the idea for the basic mechanic. In that game, the mouse is afraid of the cat and the cat is afraid of the dog… Each animal is afraid of the bigger one until you get to the elephant, which is afraid of the mouse. Great mechanics and really fun to play.
