~Happy Bee Time~

Hi! I'm Taffy, and this is my first published Pico-8 game Happy Bee Time!
This is a randomly generated bee simulator where you just try to get as many bees as you can.
You explore by either buying tiles yourself for honey or letting the bees explore themselves.
Once you have enough honey, you can find a tree and get even more beeeeees!
I would like to add more to it in the future, though it will take some time before I do.
This was a very fun project to work with, and I am very happy with the pixel art and where
my programming skills with Pico-8 are going. I have learned a lot, and I hope you guys like it!

Thank you so much! πŸ’›πŸ–€πŸ’›

I got over 3000 honey and then decided that was enough :I

was a fun time, If there's 2 things I would change if there's space I would
A: make it so bees offscreen at a certain point just make honey every x secs (to reduce the lag although maybe you already have something like this?),
B: make it so you can pet them.

good stuff

That's so much honey??? Did not expect people to play this game for long enough for lag to be a problem haha πŸ˜… TY for playing! πŸ’›πŸ–€πŸ’›

I literally created this account just to leave a comment here. This game is charming and fun. Keep making stuff, please. The world needs more like this in it.

This means a lot, thank you! πŸ’›πŸ–€πŸ’›

This is nice and super cute/cozy. I feel like it could be a really great game if fleshed out a little more. Perhaps selecting a hive could go to a hive-management mode with more options about how each hive works, like where it harvests from and how efficiently and how much it produces. I'd also love to hear the inclusion of some peaceful music.
Anyway, nice work!
