(The Post-Jam version has the score continually decrease, encouraging frequent sniffing! Aside from that it's identical.)
Sniff flowers! Blow bees away! Don't sniff bees!
This is a game I made in 24 hours for WPI's "Take a Breather" Jam. The theme was "A Good Sniff." All assets and code are my own work.

CONTROLS:
- Up: Inhale
- Down: Exhale
TIPS:
- Sniff flowers to score points. Exhaling first lets you get a longer sniff. The longer the sniff, the more points it's worth!
- Bees sting you if you try to inhale them, but you can blow them away by exhaling.
- You run out of breath if you exhale for too long.
Very cute. Should there be a penalty for biding your time? Like the score slowly counts back down while you're not sniffing the flowers? The score could represent your olfactory happiness. You must smell those pretties to stay happy!
@Felice Yeah a steadily draining score would actually work quite well, so I've added it in a Post-Jam version! (see above).

Nice concept. Maybe it's me, but I find exhaling very weak and limited in use. If other players have the same feedback, maybe you could consider boosting its effect somehow.
@~firefly~ Exhaling before taking a breath is required to get a Great or Superb Sniff, that's it's main purpose. Blowing bees out of the way is a secondary effect.

That and the score ticking down have turned this into a real thumbs-up from me. You should point out the bit about exhaling on the title screen.
Just played again a half-dozen times. Best score 934. Definitely had fun this time.

I love it! Reminds me of a really well-executed Wario Ware microgame. Great humor, fun graphics and really original and intuitive gameplay! :)

@eggnog: You know, the WarioWare similarity never occurred to me until you mentioned it but I can absolutely see that now. Definitely seems like a premise straight out of one of those minigames.
