Hey there, I just wanted to have a very quick play with PICO-8 and this seemed like a fun quick test. Single "large" sprite blitted across the screen while being flipped at random, no interaction. Pretty simple and painless, based on an old screen-saver.

Now onto something a bit more involved (but I expect not much).

Thanks, it seemed like the minimal amount of work possible for a cool visual effect.

that is cool! you could perhaps turn it into a jigsaw/maze type thing and let the player flip elements to connect stuff

@impbox - good idea, or joining pipeworks of colour from one side to the other while sliding tiles around.

@jonbro - Hah & thanks, I knew I'd seen it somewhere as a one liner but couldn't remember where, that's the very one.

@revdancatt Would you like to write a short article about that for the Pico Fanzine ? https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=2106

@arnaud_debock Sure thing, I can write something up for that next week (the weather is finally good enough to enjoy a weekend out in the sun). Love the idea of the Fanzine too!

@revdancatt Enjoy the weekend! If your article is not in the fanzine number one, it will be in the Fanzine number 2 . But I really love this idea of supershort code and pattern.
