Hey, I'm pretty new to PICO-8, and really enjoying it so far. I was wondering if anyone would be up for collaborating on a few simple games, with a focus on creativity and gfx. I don't really have anything to show right now, but send me an email if you're interested. (7bitdesign[nospam]@gmail.com)

I'd love to make games anytime, anywhere, anyhow

I could help out with artwork.

Y'all should check out Slack for over-the-internet collaboration, if you haven't yet. It changes the game completely, so much easier to work together with it than any other tool I've used.

If anyone interested could shoot me an email so we can start communicating better, that'd be helpful :) (remember to remove [nospam] from the email address)

@allan, looks helpful, I'll be sure to try it out!

Yeah slack is superb, I highly recommend it

Also wondering how well git works with a .p8 file? Apart from clashes every single push I wonder how the GFX part below the LUA would be handled. Also makes me curious as if there's a .gitignore for only certain sections of files

Even the graphics below appear to be encoded as text characters, so git should work fine in theory.

If someone changed the graphics part and you were working on the code part, since they are separate it should be able to auto-merge the two without a problem, as far as I know. You would do something like this:

git stash
git pull
git stash pop

Also, git add -p might come in handy, to commit only part(s) of the file, if you made a change to the graphics and code but only wanted to commit the change of the code part, for example.

I'm ready for a project. I can do the code (and music/sfx)

@digitalmonkey: maybe we can work together; I'm not that good at artwork.
I'd prefer direct coworking (skype: filip_sound, or gtalk chat).

Anyone can add my skype contact who wants to collaborate.

@luke: .p8 is completely text based (even gfx,map,sfx and music; just open it with any text-editor to see) so it should definitely work with git or any other source versioning tool.

I would be very interested in Collabing with someone. I'm not really an artist but y'know, I can doodle things.

I'm a programmer who is mostly looking for someone who can do music/sfx and gfx.

GFX isn't a must, I can always put out low quality temp stuff until we find someone who is willing to clean up the assets.

I'm interested in most all themes, but specifically theme mashing.
I think I want to do a small endless runner to get used to Pico-8.
I was thinking hoverboarding T-Rex, shredding down the halls of his highschool. Avoiding Hall Monitors and Faculty, while racking up bonus points for doing sweet tricks, especially in front of the hot cheerleader dinos.

I set up a slack group, feel free to join so we can start collaborating on a project :)

@movAX13h
I don't have skype or gtalk, but I'd be interested in collaborating, would you be okay with using slack instead?

@Cabledragon
I'd be happy to collaborate with you!

ok, I think you have to invite us... my address is filip.sound..gmail.com

okay, done!
If anyone else wants to be added, comment below or send movAX or myself an email

Add me.

@Cabledragon, sure, I just need your email

I'd love to join a Pico-8 Slack group: contact at dansanderson.com. Thanks!
