picoTre is a 3d rendering library meant to give the user the same degree of freedom that pico8 provides, but in 3d. I also made a conversion script in python that let's you turn a blender file into an object within picoTre, here is the download. Here is the tutorial on how to use it. Objects have functions and variables that can be controled by the player so here is a tutorial that explains all of them. The triangle rasterization algorithm is by electricgryphon. This is a school project btw.

Hi, @eisenhead.

Something that might be easier for others to work with will be a library that automatically builds familiar shapes in a 3D environment such as both 2D and 3D cubes, bars (cubes that are stretched in one direction), pyramids (both 3-sided and 4-sided).

The 2D of these would be flat squares, rectangles, and triangles.

While it's relatively easy for some, not all, to manually enter in every single 3D coordinate for a custom image, having these "building blocks" with an editor would bridge the gap between those who cannot do it and those who can.

that's called PicoCAD: https://johanpeitz.itch.io/picocad
and it makes little sense to ask that for someone that is learning code & 3d.

@freds72 I'm surprised at your lack of faith in programmers. We are all capable of wonderful and incredible things if we are merely given the chance and not suppressed for it.

Years ago I too was told by someone I could not do certain things in programming for the exact same reason you have given, that I was either incapable of at the time or it was flat out impossible.

I surpassed their expectations, did the impossible, and continue to do so today. There is always more than one way to solve a difficulty.

Never underestimate a programmer and never suppress their creative drive. Especially Pico-8 programmers who seem to be quite the active and innovatively intelligent members of society. :)

I will look at Picocad but I always expect great things from every programmer and am seldom disappointed - provided they are given the chance to do so.
