Did you know you can find top ranked carts by searching for t:?
Carts are ranked by stars, as you would expect...
Categories
This works not just for carts, but in all forum categories: Releases, WIP, Blogs, Tutorials, you name it.
Filters
Doesn't work with Lucky Draw, naturally.
- But it works with all other filters (New, Featured and Favorites).
SPLORE
Also works in SPLORE's search tab.
Even in handhelds, it's quick to "type" with arrow keys.
- Note that
:is the first character when you press ⬇️.
Latest
If you want to limit the search to the latest carts / threads, you can specify that.
- Named durations like
t:week,t:month,t:halfyearandt:yearwork. - You can also specify a number of days. For example, for the last 5 days, use
t:5.
Range
You can also specify inclusive time ranges with tr:, like tr:2022 or tr:202210-202305.
Since when?
This was introduced by @zep last year, but he only mentioned it in this comment and in version 0.2.7's changelog.
Game made for lowresjam2026!
You control a cat trying to escape inconvenient hands!

@edit: Fixed a bug where game crashed after score 21.

Picotron's mouselock() does not capture the mouse cursor correctly. It's very easy to move the cursor fast enough that it escapes the window, preventing tracking and allowing the user to click on other windows they didn't intend.
How to reproduce:
- Run Picotron in the default windowed mode (not fullscreen)
- Call
mouselock(true) - Move the mouse vertically
- Mouse escapes window
The mouse movement itself also seems to be rather jumpy with mouselock enabled, probably due to sampling the OS mouse cursor between moving it to the window center.
This is using Windows as the host OS.
Since Picotron uses SDL2, ideally it should be using the relative mouse mode: https://wiki.libsdl.org/SDL2/SDL_SetRelativeMouseMode
This should guarantee that the mouse stays within the window and will report raw mouse movement needed for first-person games.
Hello, I do not know if this is the correct avenue to ask a question like this but I wanted to at the very least try.
About a day ago i bought PICO-8 using my card. Despite taking the payment, it still hasn't arrived to my account and
I'm starting to think that something went wrong. I already sent a e-mail regarding my problem as recommended in the purchase page. While waiting for a response I thought that i might as well ask around here to see if anyone has had the same problem before. But who knows, maybe its normal to wait a day... to be honest i have no clue, this is my first time purchasing software from somewhere except Steam or GOG so maybe I'm just used to their fast service speed.
For some detail and clarification: the payment took me to Humble Bundle which i didn't have a account in at the time (I made one after the purchase just in case, but i don't think the purchase is linked to that account) Right now it's telling me that it is "waiting for the merchant to accept the payment". I haven't received any recognition of my purchase from either my e-mail or lexaloffle account.

I made this a while ago but I'm just now getting around to uploading it. It went through a lot of iterations before I landed on this. In it's current state, it's mostly finished. There are several stages to progress through and an "ending", though it doesn't force a game over.
You can double jump in the air if you collect a coin (You shine blue when you're able to double jump)
Something cool happens if you let the flower bloom, then try and pick it up.
This game started out with an idea "what if I made a game centered around a jump rope". The first iteration was a horror game, then it evolved into arcade game. I hope someone finds this and enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Hey @zep! For years now, the Education Edition has had major issues with copy and paste capabilities when it comes to platforms outside of windows. To get around this, Education Edition uses a fake clipboard which barely works,
On windows, it works fine, but on all other platforms I've tried to use, (Macbook, Chromebook, etc.) it just doesn't work. Each of the editor tabs (code, art, sfx...) have a fake clipboard used to get around this.
- Coding tab copies to the fake clipboard just fine, but the fake clipboard is overwritten if you highlight any text.
- Art tab copies to the fake clipboard but pasting doesn't work, instead requiring the use of the stamp tool to paste.
I'd list more, but I think I've gotten the point across. Another issue is that Mac doesn't have support for the command key, instead having to use control which just doesn't make sense from a user perspective.

This is my entree for my friendgroup's game jam
press z or 🅾️ on controller to mute the music
hit the pipes to increase speed
you "win" if you get to depth 400, you'll get a lil badge if you do it
you get a second badge underneath if you do it pipeless as a lil challenege for pro The Lone Drop players

A remake of an old Flash puzzle game from 2001 called Circle the Cat by Grandma Faith.
Wall off the tiles one-by-one and box in the cat before it reaches the edge of the board.
Controls
Place walls with X, reset with O, move the cursor with the arrows.
Rules
The cat moves one tile per turn and always takes the shortest route to the edge. If it gets there, it runs off and you lose. Wall it off completely to win.
Behind the scenes
Made to look and feel like the original Circle the Cat, with some minor creative liberties. The game has no sound, to preserve the vibes of the original.

Controls
The story
A spaceship on their mission in the universe got hit by a meteor, scattering the crews all around. There's no hope for them to go back home, but at least they can die together.
As the captain, your goal is to gather everyone in the vast galaxy, avoid obstacles, then head together toward the sun.
Behind the scenes
Last Light is a puzzle game based on Sunburn! by Secret Crush. The full original game is no longer available on the App Store, so I made a tiny version with Pico-8.
The first version comes with 20 levels. Let me know what you think - if the game gets enough interest I can add more levels.
Simple physics engine I made :b
I am planning on adding support for more types of platforms
Give both the player and the platforms flag 0
If u wanna use a different flag change the fget function inside of n()
To use call upp(p) inside of ur update loop
The player dict should look like:
p = {
x = 32,
y = 32,
vx = 0,
vy = 0,
w = 7, -- coords start at 0
h = 7, -- coords start at 0
g = 0.6, -- gravity
f = 0.85 -- friction
} |
Tweak to ur liking
Engine code:
function n(x,y)return fget(mget(flr(x/8),flr(y/8)),0)end function upp(p) p.vy+=p.g p.vx*=p.f p.x+=p.vx if p.vx>0 then if(n(p.x+p.w,p.y)or n(p.x+p.w,p.y+p.h))p.x=flr((p.x+p.w)/8)*8-p.w-.01p.vx=0 elseif p.vx<0 then if(n(p.x,p.y)or n(p.x,p.y+p.h))p.x=flr(p.x/8)*8+8p.vx=0 end p.y+=p.vy if p.vy>0 then if(n(p.x,p.y+p.h)or n(p.x+p.w,p.y+p.h))p.y=flr((p.y+p.h)/8)*8-p.h-.01p.vy=0 elseif p.vy<0 then if(n(p.x,p.y)or n(p.x+p.w,p.y))p.y=flr(p.y/8)*8+8p.vy=0 end end |
