Hey!
After watching YouTuber _nubmark's video about his miniatures game(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wD2rijeN2Bg&t=138s) I was fascinated. This also seemed like a great first project for Pico-8 so I did my best to create this Cart.
All game design is created to _nubmark, and my artwork took direct inspiration from his designs as well. You can find the rules, along with miniature sets at their itch page https://underscore-nubmark.itch.io/
IMPORTANT NOTES
During the setup phase both players should take turns placing a unit in their starting area (first two rows like chess.
select and place your unit with X.
Once that is completed Press O to start the game!
Once the game has started Select with X and O is the back button
Movement range and attack range don't account for units/terrain in the way you will have to police that yourself.
The Win condition is also not yet implemented.
The other day I was watching YouTube and a video by 2swap called “I Solved Klotski”showed up. It reminded me that years ago I tried to make that puzzle in Flash but never actually finished it. I really liked the look and feel of the game, so I decided to take on the challenge again — this time in Pico-8, with a little help from ChatGPT.

Developed for Art and Play 2025 Pombal Jam. Weekend of: 25/10 - 27/10
Theme: Tv Game Show
Approach: first time using Pico8 engine, we decided to create different little games based on different tv channels (news/animal kingdom/sports/movies).
For the main loop we got inspired by WarioWare games each minigame has a time to complete, but we keep them in the loop, so in the next loop the game progress is still there. Complete everything before the global timer ends to win.

Hi everyone,
I've been trying to use MGET and MSET to work with larger than 1x1 tiles. I'm using MOD to animate 1x1 map tiles like the infamous water tile alright, but I can't figure out how to get the pair to see and manipulate 2x2 and larger map tiles. This would be to facilitate the animation of larger map objects such as rotating billboards, large media screens, sleeping monsters and the like. Any insight at all would be greatly appreciated...
I am not associated with Mossmouth, the creators of UFO 50 and Campanella. This is a fan made project.
Overview
Play as Pilot (or his sister Isabell) and fly through 15 stages that'll demand precision and skill. Slash at obstacles to keep your fuel levels up, and be careful not to crash!

Controls
- (O) or Up - Thrusters
- (X) - Slash
- Left and Right - Move
How To Play
Burst from the bubble with your thrusters, then navigate the level without crashing into anything. If you run out of fuel, your thrusters will become inoperable and the Campanella will plummet to the ground. Use the slash to destroy obstacles and gain fuel from them to make it to each level's exit. Earning 1000 points from slashing things will net you an extra life.

It’s 2125.
The world is controlled by tech-feudalists and ravaged by climate change.
You’re a bunny with a single goal: forget your sorrows and play a round of basketball.
But the town is swarming with robots (that are immun to basketballs), bizarre slimes and angry birds. You’ll need to defend yourself or evade them to score points.
There are 9 stages. Score 3 points to unlock the gate to the next level. The time limit is three minutes. The farther from the hoop you score, the more points you earn (just like real-life basketball).
Controls
• Use the arrow keys
• Press O to jump
• Hold X to throw (the longer you hold, the stronger the throw)

This is a puzzle game I've been working on for a bit. My high score is 9862.
Instructions

Economy loop – factories make goods (and may lose 1 worker / hr), shops sell goods / earn money.
Power plants – radius overlay; factories inside produce more, shops earn +50 %.
Farms – fields must be inside the farm radius; with enough farmers they can spawn new residents.
Rivers & bridges – rivers are procedurally generated; build bridges to connect districts.

A port of locus.p8 to Picotron using userdata for the spatial hash.
Includes benchmark to measure performance in different scenarios (grid size, object size, memory allocation, query optimization).
A test, similar to test_locus.p8, is also included and updated to Picotron resolution and specs.
Needs testing in real cartridges (I will do this soon in one of my projects and post the results here) but the benchmarks look promising.

Updates
v0.2.0: fixed yotta packaging, refactoring using 2d userdata for cell data, added unit_tests, benchmarks, export script

This Cartridge Reminds me of Antimatter Dimensions, where you have to Press π ΎοΈ to Get 1 Click. The β means you have to use an Upgrade with a Required Amount of Clicks, Different than Antimatter Dimensions' Eternity Upgrades. This game looks Amazing! |

This is a game I'm trying out for the Gamers Club event coming next week on (you guessed it) Halloween. It's been a crunch to get it here but it's in the first releaseable state :)
It's a classic shmup I made using the tutorial from Lazy Devs (https://www.youtube.com/@LazyDevs). Thanks guys!
I intend to expand on the game and cleanup the code now that I'm more familiar with lua. It's a big mess, but it's made with love. It might be a bit difficult for kids as no healing items have been implemented yet.
In Linux Mint, I ran the "folder" command, and after picotron minimized, the mouse kept being sent back to a particular location near the top right of the screen. I think I saw some similar posts concerning maybe MacOS but did not see this precise issue on Linux Mint described, so I made a new post. Thanks!

Inspiration
My wife has ADHD so she loves playing Tetris. I love indie and retro games. I wanted to make something as simple as Tetris but could also be complex if you get good. This is my first project. This was made with AI for coding so i wanted to try to make simple gameplay that the AI wont have too much trouble figuring out.

- Hold X- Expands circle
- Goal- Expand the circle until it hits perfectly on the outside rings
