Here’s a little info about myself!

I started teaching myself programming in pico8 during the Fall of 2020. I’ve been having fun learning more and more. I recently finished my first published game. Currently taking a break from programming new games.

Enjoy my first mod of The Demon Within! A Classic Style Rogue-Like! I've eased the difficulty of the game comparative to The Demon Within!

Game Content

• 6 Dogs to love
• 34 Different Canine-Centric Items
• 7 Item Types
• A Mysterious, "Happy" Little Story
• Many Challenging Floors
• 10 Different Enemies

NPC’s

There are npc's in the game. Bump into them to talk with them!

Overall Score System

Simply put, it will either raise or lower your score counter based on
certain feats (i.e. striking enemies and evading enemies, etc.)
and certain mistakes (i.e. receiving enemy strikes, etc.)

Interactable Objects

Most objects that aren't the wall are interactable! Find out what they all do!

Game Strategy

This game is challenging and you may find yourself overwhelmed in the early game. There is a way around this! Try to look for the next floors' stairs first. then hunt down chests. If you run into a lot of enemies, you'll have a clear path of escape if you need it!

Sometimes you will run into a situation where you need to attack first. if you run across some objects on the floors. Bump into them to burn a turn so you can attack first!

Known Issues

• Wall Tile Generation Bug

• Trapped Room Bug: A very rare bug wherein the wall tiles prevent you
from leaving a floor's first generated room.

Additional Info

there are plenty of secrets to uncover and a "happy"
story to be told! Have fun!

Hey all, I'm back at it again! I put every critical feature I could fit into this cart.

0.1.0 Beta is here, so what’s next? Well I’m going to finish up the sound design. Also add a couple of changes stemming from beta testers' suggestions. then I’ll have some porklike play testers give me some feedback. From there I’ll rollout any issues they might find. After that I’m going to sell the finished version for $5 on maybe itch.io. I’m very happy with how it’s turning out! It’s almost done!

Helpful gameplay info:
Bump into blue and purple objects to interact with them. If it doesn’t move, it’s not an enemy.
