This is not a game but a musical toy.
You can make music by placing blocks.

Updates

v.1.1.1:

  • Added cart label image

v.1.1:

  • Refined the block selector
  • Added: glitch noise
  • Added: twinkling signals
  • Fixed: Beepers won't get hit in some cases

Controls

arrow keys: move cursor
z: place a block / remove a block
x: switch to block selector

<block selector>
left or right : change block
z/x: switch to circuit editing

Blocks

Signal Generators (right/down/left/up/rotating): generate signals periodically.

Beeper: plays a little sound when get a signal.

Hints

  • The pitch of a beeper's sound changes depending on its x-coordinate and color of a signal.
  • You can make a diagonally moving signal by making collide two signals.

So fun and intuitive!

I would love to heard a song made with it! (and to see what it looks like)

Very cool!

Is it correct that if you put an emitter adjacent to a beeper, the beeper does not get hit? Seems odd.

@matt That was a bug. I fixed it. Thanks!

I made music! This was great!

Great idea, it's prety fun to try things. It's a bit difficult to make complex circuitry but using diagonal make it possible. With a smooth animation on the dots, it would be a bit more clearer in complex situation I think.

So simple and fun! I love it.
Great work oinariman ;)

I would love to see a save feature in the future.

I was thinking, this gives me a real "Electroplankton" vibe!

I'd also like to see an example tune to show what this can really do.

Nice work.

Cute toy! I included it in my Pico-8 Jam #2 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :)
