Hey guys, remember this?
https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=3266
Well I talked to Arnaud, and he gave me the green light to continue the fanzine since he's busy with his own projects right now. The topic for the fifth fanzine which was last voted for was micro-rpg, with sim being the runner up. If anyone is interested in writing articles, or if you previously sent articles or stuff to Arnaud, please send them to me.
My email is pablocortes28 at gmail dot com. People interested in writing articles should read the thread link I posted at the beginning. Any questions or doubts, please comment here.
@dddaaannn has something already I believe. He had posted it here a while back, I found it in a thread about coroutines.
Edit: said comment
I have seen your post on Reddit.
I wrote a simple Final Fantasy-like battle system for zine#5, I sent it to you as a reddit PM, if you would need it sent elsewhere, let me know where.
I am also happy to help with layout if needed.
Are you still looking for articles? If so, how many, and how long should they be (approximately)?
E6host, hey. Sorry I didn't answer so fast, I've had a hectic week. Anyhow, I'm looking towards a specific amount of articles. As for length you have around a limit of 1100 words (this is a rough limit, it can be more than that). Do you have Discord?
All good Paul, I get that. Good to know. I don't have access to Discord at the moment but I'll drop you an email to get more specifics. Thanks for the info.
Please, please, please, make it happen!
Still learning the basics here but if there's anything I can help with?
Progress is happening. We could really use some cover art for the issue. :)
Update Bump:
We have the front cover art. The back cover art is currently underway.
I would love to do the text transcription through an actual typewriter for the final master copy.
Not only would this look more like a polished Zine, but I think it would also stand out boldly original as the typewriter's workflow is irreplaceable.
I own a Hermes Rocket, Remington Quiet-Riter, Olivetti Lettera 35+25.
Hi! I just released TinyRPG, made in Pico-8. It fits the aforementioned theme so I thought I'd drop it here! It's a multicart, so unfortunatly not on the BBS, but here: https://prrrpl.itch.io/tiny-rpg let me know if I can contribute by sending in more material/text for an article!
Seems this may have died on the vine again :\ Pity I've enjoyed the fanzine very much, but I know people aren't made of time :)
Is it possible to put the production of something like this up on GitHub? Might be easy to contribute and suggest edits that way.
Any update? Would be great if this could just be a PDF?
Heck, I'd slap it together if someone has the articles?
