Currently doing an Adafruit PI GRRL build. So far Pico-8 is running great on the RPi 1! My plan is to include it in an emulation station menu - but I haven't found a good way to quit Pico-8 itself without a full keyboard.

My suggestion would be to simply add this to the splore menu.

I second this, it would be very useful in such a case!

+1 for this.

Have you actually got it running from Emulation station and exiting WITHOUT crashing (even if you have to use the keyboard)?

As it seems there's currently an issue with quitting Pico-8 on the Pi, when it's been loaded from a script.

How do you quit it on PocketCHIP?

matt: the menu are a bit different on PocketCHIP, there is an exit option

I've also tried to exit on raspberry pi and it crashed as well. When I'll get my pocket chip, maybe I could use the same binary as on the raspberry pi?

Hopefully the exit option will become default in newer releases ( @zep).

There's a thread regarding ES and Pico-8 here: https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=3935

+1

However, if this is added, I think there should be an option (maybe in config.txt) to specifically not have the "exit" choice in the pause menu; a "kiosk mode" if you will, for situations where you do not want users to be able to accidentally exit PICO-8 using the controller.
