This is a one-button rhythm game made as a present to our teammate Kyle (@kylelabriola on twitter) for his birthday.
It was done on around ~14 hours, including learning how to use PICO-8, which by the way, it's really good.

Enjoy!

Yo - Really amazing game! I love the simplicity and the music sets a great mood. It's lovely

wow. interesting concept. it feels like a twist on the 'hold it down till the bar reaches a certain point' mechanic. which is what i get the feeling this utilises in the background. but the player doesnt see it, and instead the music is timed so that from the moment you press, it takes one full beat for the bar to reach the perfect jump point. bloody genius. love it. maybe you could do different songs with lily pads at lots of different distances to go with the rhythm of the different songs. one thing i didnt like, and its a minor grumble, is the little tinkle you get when you get a perfect landing. because the noise comes just off the beat a little, because its after yo land, its a little off putting when trying to stick beat perfect to the song, if it made the noise in time with the music too, it would be less off putting, but like i said, its a minor thing. i love this, its awesome, plus it has a frog in headphones, what more could you want.

@professir thanks!!
@D0S81 thank you for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it! Yeah it would be nice if it made the noise in time, as far as i know there's no easy way to sync up sounds to the music right now.

This was a very peaceful and pleasant game :)
Nice game feel too, with the juicy notes and the fly!

Got a score of 57, @giacomopc.

I'm not sure if the game gets harder or it's just more difficult for me to keep up. In any case, nice music accompaniment. Gold star work.

Nice little game. Great music. One thing, though. When I get the timing right, I land off-beat. It's be nice if my landing and the little "success" sound also happened on-beat.
