Hello everybody,
We are two students in game design, I'm Zoé and with my friend Justine we made this game.
This is our first game on PICO-8.
This project is a school project. The theme was to imagine and create a little game within two weeks.
So we decided to made a kind of a maze with time travels.
Play it and enjoy (maybe).

Yes, we want to make maybe ennemies and others puzzles with differents buttons.

It's our first project on PICO-8 and I didn't have learn programming before. You can press two buttons at the same time, it's easier.

Neat idea! I like how you did the collision detection (checking the color).

To make it easier to build new levels, you may want to try using the built-in map/tile layer...

Or, you can just set up a matrix with tile IDs and read from that to draw the level. Here's a quick example of that:

You can also use that same matrix to check for collision (based on the tile ID.)

First, thanks for the review !
And thanks for the advice, we didn't know how to use the built-in map/tile layer, this is the reason why we haven't made the level with it.
We will check your exemple and probably make other level with that tool. thanks again !

Wow! This is BRILLIANT! :D
Excellent game mechanics. Love the "ghost playback" effect (reminds me of failed attempts in Super Meat Boy.
Very addictive. Had to stop playing or else I'd get nothing done today.

justine & zoe: not a big deal, it's just to make sure people actually play the latest version in the right thread and all that. you can "save @clip" in pico8, then edit the first post of your thread, paste at the beginning. add a little "update: made this, done that", hit "preview", enter the name of the cart at the bottom, "submit" and voilà! (just do that in the other thread if you have further updates)
