Why isn't there an english speaking Picotron telegram group chat already?

there is a picotron channel on the pico-8 discord server as well as a dedicated picotron server

Telegram is not as convenient as discord for general discussions about games and technology. This kind of discussion does not require a high level of privacy.

And I personally don't want the community to be too fragmented. I even prefer the PICO-8 server to add more channels directly instead of creating a new Picotron server, because many topics overlap between the two.

The greatest thing about telegram is it's speed and lightweight. Discord is a slow massive machine. But I agree, there is a discord community. Why fragment it?

My intention wasn’t to fragment it. i did join the discord server but I personally don’t use it that much, I don’t even have the app on my phone.

This forum is great on mobile but still lacks some useful features like notifications or private conversations.

When I’m on pc I keep this forum always open but on mobile I prefer using a group chat like telegram. If there’s more people like me we can get together on telegram, I’ll put links to every server there too

Telegram-shmellagram and Discor-shmishcord ... way too modern for me. If anyone's interested I've set up a Picotron channel on IRC (on Quakenet) ;)
