@benboy, it is possible to have an item appear both on the left and right-hand sides of the screen and the player be unable to grab both.

Suggest you check the 1st level of gameplay to ensure the basket can reach both sides in time. Then instead of just speeding up the apples, speed up the whole game instead.

Then it is up to the prowess of the player to grab the apples and ultimately be allowed to move the basket from one side of the screen to the other in time every time.

I think it should be able to teleport to the left when running to the far right. The left too.

Superb, @lily.kensa ! I had not even considered that. Most of these grabber games don't let you flip from one side to the next by moving off the edge.

That would help a lot of this - and for others in the future who write games of grabbing vertically falling items.

I didn't think of speeding the basket up as well, that's great idea! Screen wrapping is also a good idea as well. I'll try and update the game to implement this. Thanks everyone!

@lily.kensa is correct.

Once you get past about 35-points, then it becomes impossible to catch the fruits if they appear on the opposite end of the screen - unless the basket can wrap around the screen. Please consider.

Either that or speed up the basket's movement to match the falling fruit so it is always possible to catch it.
