Hello. This is my first attempt to convert a multi-track MIDI song to Pico-8 through the use of @bikibird's own DENOTE tool. And I believe I was successful.

As for the picture, it helps to squint. Sorry, that's the best I can do. :)
Run in immediate mode for zero hiccups in flicker.

Thanks, @bikibird. Yep, your link is in the source, I can include it above certainly.
I'm - not having great luck in sound quality with that MIDI converter, and that could be because I am not understanding how to configure it properly.
Still, now that we've got a plethora of MIDI instruments in SFX channels, would be neat to let you choose one or more instruments starting at SFX position zero and up to let you use those as instruments for the music itself.
For instance, the song I have above would likely play lovelier in Flute or Piano that was created recently.

Wow, using all 32 colors looks super nice! Can't wait for picotron :)
Cool music too.

You can specify custom instruments in Denote, but the Denote preview player will actually sound pretty bad because it doesn't currently load them. Instead, it will use the first few SFXs of your song for custom instruments. That's a bit a bug. It should work to just ignore what you're hearing in the preview and test in a cart. You'll need to manually load the custom instruments into your cart before copying in the music.
I like the idea about using the SFXs from the #midilib project. I will definitely think about doing that the next time I upgrade Denote.
