Hi! I was looking back on this project that I wanted to get back to work working on..
But before I do that I wanted to get feedback on what to add, change, etc.
(I allready know somethings like music,horizontaldrill,notcrashingonlvl4,enemies,etc...)
But I wanted feedback regaurdless for things I might miss!

Thanks if you looked at this!

PS:
Asking what people think about my game with 0 ideas thrown at the player is probably not the best idea so here's some topics that I would like help with thanks again :) :

  • controls
  • titlescreen / options
  • map generation issues
  • area concepts or misc ideas about gameplay

(some problems I might already know about but please tell me anyways)

Pretty cool!
The character movement is very slippery horizontally (as if you were on ice). I would prefer if the character didn't slide as much after I released a movement key.
I noticed you jump a bit higher if you hold the jump key longer. Is that intentional? If so, I think it would be better for it to have a more noticeable impact on the jump height (the difference seems to be minimal. It would be more interesting if releasing the jump button halved the maximum height you can jump, or something like this).
I noticed you are launched by the jump spring as soon as you are touching it. I think it would be more intuitive if you had to jump on it to be launched.
And, lastly, a suggestion: how about allowing the player to dig in all directions, not only downwards? I think it would be cool!

@profpatonildo I'll add

  • more traction,
  • tweak jumping,
  • and making the spring only bounce if the actor is grounded maybe.

to my list off stuff!
( I was planning to make the drill work left/right too because otherwise you get stuck and the levels feel a lot less open. (planning on changing that up too with level gen.))

Thanks for the feedback! :P

You're welcome :D
Another idea for the spring: bounce if the vertical speed is larger than zero, that way you would only bounce if falling onto the spring.
