So recently my laptop with which I make my games on has decided to die and I lost my PICO-8 games I've been working on... I was wondering if anyone knew how to use the 'copy' button below posted games on the BBS to get the .p8 files back that I can use in PICO-8?
I have tried copy-pasting the game data into a .p8 file but it couldn't load the game when I tried running it.

That seemed to do the trick, thank you so much! I thought that I might have to completely remake my games...
For anyone else with this problem, all I did was press the copy button below the cart on the BBS and then ran the 'load @clip' command in PICO-8 and saved the cart to the current directory.

merely clicking on the copy button doesn't fill the clipboard for me (chrome and firefox, windows 10)
I know this comment is super late for this thread, but I'm taking an elective and one of the assignments is loading from the clipboard and I don't see a copy button. I do see a code button and I've copied the code like you would copy to paste, say from a word document from one place to another, but I am having trouble getting it to load when I type load @clipboard
I know I made a mistake. My issue is not the command itself, my issue is that there is no copy button and I've tried copying the code from clicking on code under the cart.
I don't know of any copy button existing anymore but you should be able to grab the .p8.png file by clicking the cartridge icon in the lower-left corner of the webplayer, put it in the folder PICO-8 uses, and open it directly through splore or load.
You could then use "save @clip" to get it onto the clipboard in a format loadable with "load @clip," though that'd be kinda redundant since you'd already have it loaded ordinarily.
According to the wiki only "save @clip" and the (apparently removed) copy button will copy the cart data in a format loadable with "load @clip" (and just copying the code wouldn't work anyways, since load is used for opening entire carts with sprite and audio data included).
Jusiv Thank you. I will try that. I have to do it for class so I will have to go the redundant route LOL! At least until that part of the assignment gets updated. We also had to make a gif of us copying the game code into the editor which I already did. Again Thank you very much for letting me know how to do it!
