Thank you for playing my game!

Nice !

Suggest, gravestones not have such dark writing on them (so player is easier to pick out amongst them).

Returning to the grave you dug out of and touching it returns all Hits so exploration is safer to start with.

@dw817:

Thank you for playing! I can definitely make the text on the graves lighter. I think it would it be better for the player if enemies could drop HP refills, rather than having to backtrack. I will keep your advice in mind!

Glad to help out.

Maybe have both. Enemies could pop like Pinatas and any candy found might increase hits.

Candy Corn (2hp)
Gumdrop (4hp)
Lollipop (8hp)

Returning back to home grave could still recover ALL hits though. (Give player a way to grind the level).

Grinding refers to the playing time spent doing repetitive tasks within a game to unlock a particular game item or to build the experience needed to progress smoothly through the game. ... A game level at which a lot of grinding is required may be called a treadmill level.

Could have the moon show a slow animated eclipse when its time to fight the BOSS.

In the beginning, maybe have player's grave still, then dirt tremors, a skeletal hand pokes out from below. And then an explosion of dirt and the player begins the game.
