Hi, here is my first PICO-8-Game called Pico-Sokoban. It's a Puzzle-Game.

Objective: Move the Crates to the destinated Location. But you can only push one Crate at the same time, and you cannot pull the Crates.

Game features 131(!) Levels. These Levels were created by a guy named "David W. Skinner" which released his Sokoban-Levels freely.

Controls
Move with Arrow-Keys.
Restart Level: X or O.
Back to Mainmenu: Hold X or hold O.

It was a hell of a work to put these Levels into the game^^.

Have Fun^^.

I'm glad I came to read the thread before trying to finish this, I kept thinking "surely THIS is the last level, right?" :P

Nice work!

131 levels omg that's unreal, think i got to about 15 before i started to wonder how many more there could be. love that there's been 2 different sokoban variants on here in a week 😎

learned about the menuitem function from reading the source code for this so thanks for that btw 👍

Really nicely done! I can see you put a lot of effort into this and had attention to detail like, for example, changing the scrolling speed of the level selection.

Sfxs are great too, they didn't become annoying after playing for a long time.
And I just realized we both released our first games this week, both being Sokoban games, I swear it wasn't on purpose :)

Anyway, good job!

Already did 15 levels, it's awesome, I assure you i'm going to beat them all

Thanks to you i discovered i'm a fan of sokoban

Btw, that's awesome when a good game on pico lasts more than 30min ! QUANTITY !!

Level 69

P#50631 2018-03-20 17:07 ( Edited 2018-03-25 21:40)

Ok, after lvl 70 I was bored so I jumped to lvl 128, it was easy, then level 130 is bugged, you can't beat it, it has 5 boxes instead of 4 and 2 of them can't be moved (one must be destroyed)

Then beat lvl 131 it was a good level

You can fix lvl 130?

P#50925 2018-03-28 13:15 ( Edited 2018-03-28 17:15)

Hello and Thanks @All for the feedback :) . I've updated the Game, which fixes some minor bugs (no Player-Preview in Levelselect, lvl 130 was impossible).

@floman: Thank you for finding the bug in lvl 130. I must also confess that I never played ALL of the Levels, I just put these Levels from the named Guy (David W. Skinner) in the Game and then I compared them from the Original (which I missed that one Block in lvl 130)^^. I think I haven't the endurance to play everything which comes after Level 80 or so :D

Well after few levels, you become an expert so, I didn't do all levels either, but it was still cool

My son was playing this game and he found a bug.

Basically, you can push diagonal and it allows you to get out if deadlock situations. It's even possible to push a box thru a normally deadlock corner.

This is great stuff ! Sokoban, or as its called on the Gameboy, "Boxxle" is one of my favorite kind of turn-based puzzles.

Looks like a lot of work went into it !

P#54605 2018-08-02 12:54 ( Edited 2018-08-02 16:55)

Thanks for the kind words :) .

@minglw: Oh wow, thank you for finding out the bug, I didn't expect that the controls could be used like that :D . I Just uploaded a new Version that prevents diagonal Movement^^.
