So... Two updates for PICO-8 were released... and neither of them are mentioned on the blog? Am I missing something or did I just log into the website at the weirdest time, while they're still typing the blog?

Okay, so... What happened to 0.1.7 then?

the web player was running 0.1.7 and the online manual was for 0.1.7 until this update happened. you can still see what was added when in the version history there.

edit: i actually just realized it shows the same revision notes in the changelog from the tweet.

Yeah, but 0.1.7 was never put up for download.

Pretty sure 0.1.7 was just critical bugfixes to the web player, for 0.1.6 features. I could be wrong, but it makes sense.

The 0.1.7 changelog says some of the new features (menuitem, button glyphs, -home, gpio js) are technically in that release even though we didn't see a public 0.1.7 binary. It takes quite a bit of effort to QA a build on 4+ platforms for simultaneous release, and I wouldn't be surprised if it passed for some platforms but not all of them.

I agree that communication about new releases could be more formal.
