Hi,
I'm on this since a couple of hours done on several days. I have a lack of time for the jam.
I will improve as I can but I submit like it is. I hope you will be kind enough to play with it.
Follow the radar indication. Shoot but don't be hurt. You have only one life.
The levels change each time the game is played.
Regards,
jihem
Very nice. Love the smooth movement. Great use of the infinite type of space for the board, grid certainly sells it. It's a great foundation for a shooter that could go in just about any direction you want.
I love shooters so I may look under the hood and borrow a few techniques :)
@josefnpat> There is a dedicated coroutine in the code to add ennemies, create events, add boss in the levels. I'll populate it for a next version (in july). So, it would be more "geometry wars" like. My main objectif to do this game was to work with vectors, objects and coroutines in an open mind. Finally, the code is very easy to update (change/create new shapes and behaviors). I'm looking for a way to enhance the procedural level generator.
Thanks for the comment
I like the level color change intro for each level. The difficulty increase too slowly and I think you should either add more life to ennemies or reduce this machinegun firerate
Thanks for playing :-) I'm working on the gameplay. In fact, I'm adding a lot of ennemies. It's more fun to kill many than having a hard time against some with more life. For the jam, I have finished the technical part but have to improve the gameplay... Not enough time :-/ I'm not that good playing my own games so even like that, my highscore is near 240... :'-(
Fun game! I included it in my Pico-8 Jam #2 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :)
