The humans have polluted your home and turned you into one angry starfish. It's time to strike back.
Shoot your arms at the docks to send the people flying (your pollution-related mutations have made your body highly reactive with the air). Be careful! The other sea critters are hungry and your arms also serve as a tasty snack.
This is my first completed game since probably middle school. The code is a mess, pls don't judge (or do, I'm not in charge of you). At the very least I've found some things I'd like to work on in my next project, but I hope people can get a little enjoyment out of this too!
This was cute. I LOLd the first time I got the "wrath" message - the timing is very comedic.
Is it possible to beat the first level? I have scored 100 but I always end up using all my arms up and then dying.
Hilarious, and the music is great, but it's way too hard for me. I think I came close to beating level 1 one time - there was nobody left on the dock, but I think I gotten eaten or had used my last arm or something (didn't actually catch where I went wrong) and got the game over screen. Never got that close again.
Thanks for playing, all! :D There's only the one level--it's meant as more of a narratively-futile score attack. There are one or two mechanical secrets though!
The highest score I've managed is 385, but I'm not completely sure how, lol. Let me know if you beat that! Obviously there's a lot of RNG with the sharks spawning, but I like how that melds with the super-short playtime. I can pretty consistently score mid-200s
