Since installing the latest Raspberry Pi version on my RPi4, all games flash up a "Running below 30fps" message and run horribly. Everything ran perfectly before. What's happened and how do I fix it?

try lower the resolution down on your pi4 hopefully that works.

This should be chalked down to an ERROR in the newest version of Pico-8 for @zep to pursue.

I am seeing the same problem. Running pico8 on a 64bit version of raspberry pi os seems to be ok. But 32 bit is very slow

Just did a test and reduced the resolution on my 32bit raspberry pi os. It runs much better now
