Hi there, I installed pico 8 on my raspberry pi 3 and it seems to be
working okay, except that when I go to play a cart I get an "can't
connect to BBS" error. I'm connected to the internet and it updates
the cart lists. It's only when j try to play the games. I used this
setup video. https://youtu.be/DrC_n_Y18aM .Any idea how to fix this?

Thanks for any help!
Adam

Hello! I think I've seen people reporting this same problem in this BBS, and fixed it by making sure wget is installed (using apt-get).

Please give a title to future posts :)

Oops, I thought I did. And can you install wget on the stand alone version? There isnt an os that Im aware of, and no way to get to command line.

I don’t know what you mean with standalone version.
Your raspberry pi must have an OS to be able to start!

I used the video I posted above. I think it just has the files needed, not the full os. I could be wrong, but you never install one. And even at that, there is no way to get to the command line.

You're using Pico-Pi boot image I assume? I've had a similar problem that was fixed by enabling SSH on the Pi and then accessing the terminal from your main PC/Mac/Linux device. The process is tedious to explain so just go on youtube.

I just flashed a new sd card with raspian and have it auto-boot into pico 8. Seems like its the easiest way to tinker with things. Thanks for the help though guys, I appreciate it.
