- z - Jump
- x - Restart Puzzle
- Down Arrow - Use
- Left/Right Arrows - Walk left and right
The project started as an experiment for learning Lua (and Pico8 to some extent). I had fun, so, I decided to finish and release it. I hope you like it!
Sorry for the lack of snake casing in the code. I usually use camel casing, but Pico8's editor doesn't support upper case letters :/
- X now restarts the puzzle.
- Down arrow is now the use key.
- Hint added on the second puzzle that shows how to restart a level.
I can not get the one where they all have to do a 4 stack on top of each others heads on top of the platform to line up. I can switch the platform, but I can't get them all on top of it in a line.
It's a great game, but the solutions feel kinda fiddly most of the time.
Thanks for the kind words, it means a lot!
I tried to be a bit more generous with execution required, but the problem with playing your own game/puzzle too much is one starts to overlook the finickiness of it. Next time, I'll get some play-testers to iron it out (that's what they're for!).
That puzzle is a little tricky, so here's a tip:
After hitting the switch, make sure everyone is lined up before creating the stack again (move everyone to the right). Once the stack is created, don't do a running jump onto the platform. Instead, walk towards the platform and stop right besides it. Now, have everyone jump while stationary. Once everyone is in the air, move left towards the goal and land on-top of it. It's much easier then trying to run onto it.
