Thank you to everyone who gave some feedback! I have reworked some of the levels and added a 5th world to explore! Ignoring potential bugs, this is the first full release of GLOF! I hope you have as much fun as I did making it. This has been one of the largest creative projects of my life and I'm excited to create more pico-8 games in the future <3

Play GLOF here!

If you get to the end of GLOF, I'd love to hear your thoughts. I'd also love to see who ends up getting the best time/lowest stroke count!

This is great fun! I came for the title, stayed for the music, but lvl 28 is like cement, I did give up there. Awesome game!
-
Just came back to try again but this time [x] stopped working on lvl 19. There was no error and skipping a level didn't bring it back. Still going for that finish. (reset, skipping to lvl 19)
-
It happened again. This time on lvl 37. I just found out about fine-charge with [z], I guess fine-charge was on without knowing which is why lvl 28 felt impossible the first time. lvl 28 is great! I think fine-charge could be a little bit more visible, maybe used the same way as [x]?. (reset, skipping to lvl 37)
- Just happened again on lvl 47, This time I fixed it by spamming all the keys for a few seconds, got control back! And you know what? I DONE IT! :D
What a ride :)

Well, I finished it, but the final 10 levels were mostly out of stubbornness. Levels 46 and 49 felt a bit mean, but I never had to resort to the level skip.

I think this might be more fun if broken into blocks of 10 levels: at the level you select a block to play and get scored on that, not all 50 levels at once.
But very polished and good mix of game mechanics. As currently implemented, gold star.

This is a top tier arcade golf^W... Oh, sorry - Glof experience with a great music theme. It would be cool to have an integrated level editor, so you could design your own mini-course and play it.
I think I've just found the title for the next epsiode of my Pico-8 Adventures.

This amazing, over the top polish and lots of cool mechanics. The best use of slopes in a pico8 top-down game I've seen. There are so many interesting levels, I don't think I'm even halfway yet.
I was wondering: what's up with performance? It often can't maintain 60fps, and I'm not quite sure why. It doesn't seem like there's anything too intensive going on, is it the background or something? Minor issue, the game plays just as well at 30 fps.

Thank you! Regarding performance, because this was my first pico 8 project, it is pretty poorly optimised by relying on the map quite a bit to update objects. There are a number of things I would do differently now, and I can create a performance update if enough people ask for it.
