If I'm in tab 0 and press ctrl-f to search for, say "world" because I want to change it to "universe", ctrl-g will help me find all the other instances of "world" in tab 0.

Then I switch to tab 1 and want to do the same thing.

I hit ctrl-g... nothing. I have to press ctrl-f and type my search again.

It would be great if ctrl-g remembered my search term even when I switch tabs :)

I did come across this other thread that suggests this feature was supposed to exist earlier in Pico-8's life: https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=31832

Looks like it's disappeared since then :)

Indeed, each tab has its search history (could be seen as a feature), but you can use Ctrl-H to search next in all tabs.

I had no idea about ctrl-h and don't even see it mentioned in the manual. That's very useful, thank you :D
